Calling it Body 1 & Body 2 feels objectifying

I did hear that some things would be changed, like upgrading the disability settings and keybinds or something along those lines. Which I think most people would be fine with since it allows the game to be played by a broader audience. I’ve been around since Classic but I’ve never gone backwards and played Wrath Classic. I always just play in the current expansion.

That is not true. This effects a tiny minority. The rest of us either ignore it (me) or some will make post on it. This is classic squeaky door gets the oil. The vast majority of WOW players had no problem with the labels MAN/WOMAN. You change for the squeak.

Yall are still on this topic?

Yes, because it’s so unimportant, people are still on it. Really sir, unimportant.

To be fair, it is pretty unimportant. Feed the homeless!

I’m a lady but i figured it would die down a little bit.

Totally. Super unimportant. So unimportant, you’re quite a few multi-quotes posts into this totally unimportant topic that has no importance.

The forums aren’t important, so hah!

In all seriousness, I was just having a good conversation about Wrath Classic and it so happened to be here.

I was referring to the people who are anti LGBT getting all upset about a label you only see for one click during toon creation. Notice how you had to modify my original statement to make it look like I was talking about gender neutral people.

Haha, I do the opposite. I live in WoD, in Retail. And live in perma Vanilla Classic.

A little dabble here and there of the other things, just so IK what’s up. I mean, I had to in order to unlock allied races. I still have a few more to unlock.

If you only see it once during toon creation, why does it need to be changed ?

More to the point, if you only see it once during toon creation, why do you care?

It does 'cause it’s not a slider :sob:

If it’s so unimportant, why are you so opposed to criticism of it ?

Why do you care while pretending it’s unimportant.

I care because from a UI standpoint, it’s a regression. We went from a clear Sex choice between the very well known Sex identifying icons :male_sign: and :female_sign: to a vague “Bulky” vs “Slender” icon that actually reinforces gender stereotypes.

If you think about it, it’s kinda bigoted, why is the big icon the guy ? There’s no big girls ?

Hello, I see you replied to the thread. Kul’tirans have that covered, haha!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

I disagree zerde. Most people would have thought this change was to aid dracthyr models or future model toggles for other races in game.

The dev tweet is what conflamed this mess.

Yeah, which makes it weird to use

For a Blood Elf Male, but use

For a Kul Tiran Female.

I prefer snarflebarflethang and snarflebarflewang, myself.

The process is literally objectifying OP.
You’re creating an object for a game.

Alright, after discussing with Blizzard staff in Tickets they concluded they saw nothing wrong with this thread and were unsure as to why it was removed/taken down.

My thought is whoever removed it simply took the word of the community and did no such “thorough investigation” whatsoever. It has since been returned for further discussion.
