The Horde is dead and buried we had a good run and at least we got that stupid tree.
The irony is that it’s the opposite.
It’s being shown objectively that she is not a queen or heir to the throne.
People are using personal bias to say she is.

The only thing that’s been objectively shown, is that she doesn’t WANT to lead. But people see her as the heir. She has made it clear she likes the council and just being a member. Not the full on ruler.
Doesn’t make her not a Queen though.
GRANTED, they may do an Ebyssian angle, and MAKE her be the leader, with the council becoming more like advisors. Since Ebyssian’s whole thing is he didn’t want to lead, and out of nowhere Wrathion and Sabellian are like, “but bro, that’s why you SHOULD lead”.
It has been objectively shown she lost her title.
It has been objectively shown that the kingdom connected to her title ( that she does not have ) does not exist.
Where? Because literally almost everywhere since Cata it’s been shown that the Kingdom Exists.
And from Legion forward it’s been shown that her title exists.
OTOH, it was objectively shown that Derek Proudmoore did not have a body after being burned to literal ashes by dragon fire. But they rezzed him somehow anyway.
The kingdom no longer exists. The Forsaken is not the kingdom.
When you defy the king to run off and marry a commoner, and your children are not considered a part of your line…
It means you do not have the title.
Red Dragon Flame cauterizes and Heals as well as Burns. Look at Bolvar. So there’s reasonable doubt that his body was fully destroyed.
Not how that works in Real Life, and that’s also not how it works in WoW, based on the lore we’ve been given, and based on things others posters have shared even.
Actually the Forsaken call themselves the “people of Lorderon” or “from the Kingdom of Lorderon” still, and there are narrative mentions inferencing that it still is around.
Try again.
Pretty sure it was explicitly stated in the book that his body turned to ash. Maybe someone who has it handy can provide the exact quote.
And after that, those ashes fell into the ocean for thirty years.
There is no way there should have been anything with enough integrity left to raise.
I’ve said this before, but I don’t even dislike Calia as a character. She’s actually quite interesting. It just feels like they are trying to shoehorn her into the narrative and that never really goes well when trying to tell a coherent story.
It’d be nice to see how she is trying to gain the trust of the Forsaken who are understandably wary. That’s basically their default setting, especially when a Menethil rolls up.
If they had bothered to give us more interactions between Calia and the Forsaken, which she’s clearly being written to lead, I wouldn’t have an issue with any of it. There are very few things I dislike more than unnecessary plot holes.
Serious question: What’s interesting about her?
I’m not being snarky here. I just genuinely don’t see anything about her that isn’t a yawn-fest.
I mean, she’s got a backstory and everything. Her life as a Menethil wasn’t easy, even on the best of days.
tell me you don’t know how oaths and loyalty work without telling me you don’t know how oaths and loyalty work. you are reading words but have no IRL experience or meaning to them.
i never said that’s not cannon, im saying the playerbase rejects the official cannon because the official cannon we are currently operating with is not what we had before, it has that “corporate HR approved” ickyness to it.
also, its not cool to make fun of autistic people.
That has never been shown. There is not text stating she gave is up and there is none that the king every removed it. All that we know is that she hide her family (with the help of her mother) and remained living in Lorderon as she always did.
Now I do agree that there is no longer any throne for her and that fact that she is being referred to as “queen” is probably being done to honor the fact she is the last member of the Menethil family. She made it clear that she doesn’t want to rule, so this is probably just an informal title.
Necromancy is the art of animating dead flesh, what vague power source one is using to do that is completely irrelevant
no, they made a fancy chart for the new lore, light/naaru and death/necromancy are different areas of the chart.
There are more important thalassian elves in the alliance as it is. Probably the most iconic blood elf character is Valeera who leans alliance. Blizz needs to stop giving our toys to the alliance.
death magic is not the only way to make undead, they clarified this in very explicit language last expansion
But it was shown her children were not to be legitimate and part of the House/line
That does not happen if you fully have your title.
Until she magically showed up due to the power of bad writing, she lived a life of abdication.
Every action she took was on par with renouncing her title.
