These types never do.
The pruning started in Cataclysm. Legion gave more abilities due to the artifact weapon’s abilities.
…are you kidding? 1 attack? Go play AFK mobile games lol
This. So this.
Thrash, swipe swipe swipe, IF, thrash, swipe, swipe, swipe.
One target?
Thrash, swipe, mangle, swipe, maul, thrash, swipe, mangle, swipe, maul.
20 year vet of a game that has been out just over 18 years? interesting…
MoP was max buttons.
The pruning started in WoD, and went very heavy in in Legion.
Everyone gaining 1 active ability from their artifact in Legion didn’t make up for all the pruning done at the same time.
WoD pruning wasn’t even horrible, it was a lot of underused abilities, but legion was… bad
Honestly, it got to a point a few expansions ago where I just click cast using my action bar now. I don’t think I use the keyboard for anything except for dragonriding or when in a vehicle to spam 1.
It’s actually sort of wild, within the lock class u can respec to destro and end up with half as many buttons.
I certainly enjoy that my buttons to heal for a fixed amount, heal for an amount based on recent damage taken, deal aoe damage, deal single target damage, apply a debuff to reduce the damage I take, and apply a debuff to increase the damage I deal are 1 button.
How ridiculous
Your experience in web development means nothing regarding key binds. Nice attempt at a lame flex tho lol
I feel like most classes have less buttons to press than they did in Vanilla. As a 20 year vet, maybe other expansions had even fewer buttons to you, but this one certainly shouldn’t be at the top for “too many buttons” for someone who went through Vanilla and BC (when we used multiple ranks of spells).
I think they are talking about SoloShuffle team compositions? It didn’t really make sense to me at first.
Played for 20 years and only level 50.
on a game only out 18 years lol
in vanilla, my fav spec was 5 or 6 buttons for my dps rotation. now its anywhere from 14 to 18.
that’s bloated
There is a reason that classic is just a gimmick they give away for free with retail
That’s cause they’ve given almost every class something from another class (absorbs, interrupts, heals, etc) that they didn’t have in Vanilla. I’m all about removing bloat if it means getting back to a clearer class identity in the game.
It does vary a lot by class and spec. As ele shaman, I have 36 keybinds as well as a good number of abilities that are on my bars but have no keybind (and quite a few more that are in my spell book but not on a bar at all). Contrast that with my DH which has like 21 keybinds for everything. And I’m not necessarily suggesting that needs to be changed. Some people want a class/spec with a ton of abilities and others want one with less. Choose one that suits you.
personally, BM hunter needs one more good attack for fuller rotation.
Just a personal opinion.
