Button Bloat from the Perspective of a Middling Player

I hate button bloat.

My class used to be so much more fun when it was Combat. I don’t get the devs mentality of the skill trees where more=fun.

It’s like they are trying to reinvent the wheel.

Considering the majority of the player base are happy they reversed that decision you would be wrong

Amd where are the stats for that claim?

Numbers are up (the article is on reddit tracking raid participation based on achievments)

The only people I see complaining tend to be less succesful at the game

I have more success than you do yet i dont defend a game thats getting overbloated. I have friends who wanted to play but seeing the piano keybinds turned them off. And honestly classes dont play as good as they used to because many have too many micro cds for no reason. They dont add complexity but rather headaches

No you dont.

Its not overbloated.

So then they shouldnt play MMOs.

Disagree.

Feel free to stop hiding your main

I have glad wich is the hardest achievement in the game. You dont. Running m+ doesnt make you good. Destruction warlock has 3 buttons so maybe thats why you dont understand

Like Glad cant be bought rofl.

Also easy to say when you hide on an alt.

Lucky for me I play more than Destro lol.

And no it doesnt have 3 buttons so you clearly dont understand.

No reason to argue with a 3 button class m+ dweller gatekeeper. Spamming chaos bolt and incinerate is very simple, but some other specs like enchance rogue or shadow priest are much more bloated and unplayable in certain content thats not mind numbing easy

I play more than destro.

I actually dont push Mplus

Should stop using words you dont know the meaning of incorrectly.

Still cant understand I play more than just Destro and Warlock.

Outside of high APM on outlaw isnt that bad.

LOL Shadow isnt bloated since the rework in 10.1 I know because I have a priest.

How hard is leveling since youre only lvl 50?

Pretty hard in this game thats going dow hill fast

Hot take: Passive talent choices should be as powerful as active ones

If you want to press 50 more buttons I support that, but if a class I’ve been playing for years suddenly gets updated/reworked to have way more active abilities & suddenly I’m forced to choose between being weak or strong based off choosing actives vs. passives, that is lame in the membrane to me

It also feels like a power-creep related problem because what comes after hero talents in War Within? An entirely new set of talents? Additional Hero specs? Sounds exhausting just thinking about it. Just let me kick and punch while head empty

Nobody is pressing 50 buttons or even close to 30 in combat constantly, most specs have less than 10 button rotation, is probably closer to 5-6. Having to press cds, utility or defensives once every 2-3 minutes is not a huge deal.

No they absolutely should never be on par with active talents.

There’s already a few very simple specs to play. Try those out.

Their obviously using an alt.

Clearly.

It’s called hiding on an alt.

They could just add more hero power, add more rows to regular talent trees or do nothing, is not like they are forced to add more talents every expansion.

Ye idk why people do that if someone is hiding on an alt people wont take their opinions seriously or think that their hiding progression.

People fighting over who has more progress is really silly, who cares if you have 1 more heroic boss kill over the other guy? The moment you start attacking someone progress you already lost the argument, is the same as just devolving into name calling.

Im in slight disagreement i want hero talents because they add an extra layer of unique flavor and skills to my character.

However yeah they dont have to add more talents they have gone xpacs without adding talent rows like legion or bfa or shadowlands.
