But there is a big difference in the amount of effort you need to put into those areas for success. World quest/herbing/gathering on my rat DK alt around 425 ilvl I can do all of those activities perfectly fine without doing my rotation correctly or optimally. Raiding and M+ is a different story.

Nah, there is a big difference between not sugarcoating and calling others bad. Based on this thread I am not the only person who feels this way.
Hate how this never gets spoken about more. So many specs just FEEL bad to play because of the bloat.
Its like Guitar hero, do you make a song more fun to play by adding more buttons and complexity? No. The song needs to FEEL good to play. Same goes for how classes play. Some of the CD usage especially just feels so clunky, I literally hate it. Is it hard? No of course not, pressing an extra button isnt hard. But its annoying.
Sad to see all the WoW gamers in this thread defending the bloat. Sorry, no amount of buttons will have gamers from other games respect us. We are the Mario Kart gamers of esports. We get laughed at. They point and laugh at us. It is what is is. We are a joke, it is okay, I have learned to accept this. Maybe one day you will too.
The bloat issue will only be exacerbated by Hero talents in the new expansion and it will be a genuine problem for Blizzard with the mental load required to play this game just being way too much for the 40 year old playerbase in War Within.
I know ppl argue, but just chose noob talents!! Like yeah, if people were rational they would do so. However people dont. Just like people dont settle for LFR or normal if Heroic raid is too hard they just quit. I dont care about some normative discussion of what people SHOULD do. What they DO DO, is quit the game whenever content or playing the spec is too hard.
Like Nuul I am not too bad at video games, I played Dota and SC2 at pretty high level. Played WoW for soon 20 years. So again, I will survive (although I now pretty much hate playing almost all of my specs because they FEEL terrible to play). However the bad part of the playerbase (who make up like 90 %) will not survive, and again, as stated previously, they will simply quit the game. They dont care about your sanctimonious normative lectures about what they should do.
