Only in bug reporting, and PTR & Beta feedback. But they don’t really pay any attention to any of that, so it’s a moot point.

As to player comments on the forums? That’s their choice, of course, but I’m not sure they even read these forums anyway. Another moot point.

They’re not getting rid of water strider’s ability to water walk, where did you read this? If you have the strider already you get an item in the mail that gives it the ability to walk on water. What’s up with all the blatantly inaccurate posts lately?

because you get free equipment in your mail that gives it to you anyway. Literally nothing changes after this patch except others will be on mounts that aren’t your mount. It literally doesn’t impact those use the strider. You will put on the equuipment and nothing will have changed for you. The only difference is what other plays can do with their mounts and not being shoe-horned into an ugly bug.

And the equipment is character specific, not mount specific so you will LOSE the option to use any other equipment just to retain what you already had before. And the new system is inferior to the old anyways.

You can get the water walking gear in the exact same way you got water walking mount. The increase is cost is practically negligible. And this is coming from someone who ran out of gold to train blacksmithing yesterday.

As someone who is brand new to WoW, I think it’s dumb that they’re going to get rid of water walking for the mount. Whenever I see these Water walking mounts in game I get jealous, ‘wow my leveling would be so much easier if I had one of those!’

but all I could think of is wanting to grind to be just as good as these other players, so when some sort of new item that is just as good as water walking mounts comes out, I too would be ready to get one.

Now that blizzard is getting rid of this ability, all I can think of is- “Thank god I did not waste my time on that mount!” and “well anything I grind for now will probably be taken away from me at some point”

It bother the art department that so many use just the water strider as well as the fact folks have hundreds of other ground mounts they would like to use but default to the striders for water walking.

Others don’t use water walking and would prefer mounts have the other utilities.

It’s okay. Now you can grind gold to purchase crafted Water Walking equipment that uses existing mount consumables plus new mats from the new zones at whatever absurd prices your AH can get! (Same goes for the other mount equipment as well.)

My God…some people. Yeah, it’s completely not fair that something, which is readily available to ALL, takes more than zero effort (but barely).

If striders were really that much of an issue for these naysayers, they could have simply done the rep grind. It’s WoW for Pete’s sake. There was/is nothing hard/unfair about how things were before this patch.
