Burning of Teldrassil is Narrative Poison

No one but blizz knows how many subs are left and I’m sure it’s higher than 400k.

But regardless, it’s a little silly to tell people to leave a thread because they mentioned people are sick of the same rehashed complaints that been going on for 4 yrs now.

I know the revenge plot is a favored one amongst alliance players along with killing Sylvanas and punishing the horde, etc.

But the point is, those solutions weren’t going to fix anything and even blizz had the self awareness to keep that in mind. There’s a reason they didn’t kill off one of their franchises most iconic character afterall

There’s a reason blizz said they want to do LESS faction conflict stories going forward. They know they screwed up badly

Pretty much every sane person here agrees that the faction war is and was terrible storytelling and there’s nothing that blizz can do to try to fix without making things worse than they already are.

That’s why people are generally ready to move on and bury BfA and SL permanently in the past, where it belongs

Alliance players don’t care that sylvanas caused more harm to the horse and caused the loss of multiple big name characters as well as the loss of undercity. All that matters is a tee that, to them, is infinitely more important than the kingdom that sold the entire franchise, lmao :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

I don’t think the alliance players who loudly complain about sylvanas, have the self awareness to realize that yes, she did indeed do more harm to her own faction and her own people, the forsaken, than she did to the alliance.

You expressed that you are tired of this, then I said you can leave the thread, no one is forcing you to write in it or read it, what is disrespectful about that?

Because I was enjoying this thread until you stuck your nose in it

We were actually having a productive conversation about the problems plaguing WoW since BfA and SL came out

and THIS is highly subjective to judge, to even join here trengs argument is silly, because…which objective points do you consider to make such an statement? what objective points do you have or treng have? Not.a.single.one, its all subjective, so pls spare me of both of your “Sylvanas did more harm to the horde then the alliance, objectively”…stuff, okay?

you cant even stay on the truth…after everyone reads it…you said, you are tired, i opened you the possiblity to leave…because if you are tired of this, then leave, its simply or not?

Enjoying a thread and someone being tired of people rehashing revenge fantasies from 4 yrs ago are two seperate things.

i do not derail this thread, i analysed why teldrassil will continue to poison the narrative and it can´t be escaped, it can´t be moved forward without really DEALING with it…because its screems still today so loud INJUSTICE, that everyone react on a very personal lvl…regarding this topic. See yourself.

justice for the horse…right?

Teldrassil was and continues to dealt with it though. See Dragonflight and the Kaldorei getting a new home via the empowered seed

Or did you miss the entire arc in Ardenweald?

Just because the story wants to go forward, doesn’t mean the players are picked up…because that’s what blizzard is still failing at, and yes, of course something is coming with the seed now, something, we don’t know what exactly, except a tree. However, there are many more elements that affect here whether the players can be satisfied, so far blizz fails miserably in this regard.

blizzard draged the player down in this rabbit hole, its their responsibility to pick them up…and there should not save on fanservice

Some players are going to be miserable no matter what. Never going to please everyone and the time to move on is now.

The rest of us are ready to :dragon:

if blizzard shows not only with empty words but also with deeds…sure, until then…there is no reason to forgive them.

I know once Dragonflight comes out, I’m going to enjoy the hell out of it and I’ll be leaving BfA and SL in the past. Where it belongs and where it needs to die

Speaking of fun autocorrect incidents.

FOR THE HORSE!

Well, I would love for them to move on, but it doesn’t look like they’re going to. The new lore that has come out so far has killed my hype.

Arthas? is that you?

Oh, let us see what this brain trust used in its calculations…

Um, what sources? And it almost doesn’t matter because the only accurate source is Blizzard, and they are not divulging it. So, an argument based on sub numbers is pretty open for interpretation.

As you say, it depends on how much you trust the sources. I give them little credence.

As for your other argument, you contradict yourself. Here are your two statements :

So you say the plot isnt moving, but then you acknowledge the story is moving forward, just not in the direction some players like.

You revealed that you actually do not care about the story going forward, you just want it to go your way.

It is I, the Alliance mount designer!

…Alternatively, the Horde’s next Warchief, Old Blanchy. She’s already in Revendreth so she’s probably crazy enough to qualify for ENTIRELY TRUSTWORTHY SUPREME LEADER WHO SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE FOLLOWED DIRECTLY OFF ANY MORAL CLIFFS.

Westfall burned, again.

Human farmers, so long without hope, so slowly recovered, were thrown by harsh hands in the mud, wondering if the brief light they’d experienced had been but a dream.

Horde soldiers marched through the fields and over the dusty dirt roads, claiming the only just rebuilt breadbasket of Stormwind for themselves.

"…Why?’ one woman moaned as she staggered to her feet. “why? Why again? There was peace, wasn’t there?..”

A Forsaken warlock sneered (or maybe that was just how his face had frozen in death) and raised a green-glowing staff to strike her down with eldritch fury, but a solemn grey-haired orc warrior clad in red-stained plate stayed his hand.

“The Horde does the will of it’s Warchief. Whoever. Forever. That it our way, to your death, or ours.” His deep gravelly voice was neither contemptuous nor sympathetic. His large pointed green ears pricked suddenly, and he turned away from the cowering human in the dirt. “SHE COMES! PREPARE THE TRIBUTE!”

Hurriedly, orcs and trolls and tauren and undead carried great baskets down on the ground in a circle, then backed off respectfully fearfully. The open tops of the baskets revealed their contents; piles of oats, carrots, apples.

Something glowing a ghastly crimson was approaching the group. The human tried to rise to her knees, only for the orc to roughly shove her back down. “Kneel, fool!” he whispered loudly as he dared. “She is here!..”

Old Blanchy whickered, a whicker of pure evil.

Age brings what it brings, and that tends to be a different package for each person. Not everyone learns from experience. There are people who stop being teachable at tragically young ages.

Not going to tell you how old I am, but I just qualified for NJ Transit senior rates and the only thing that Age has brought me is an increasing awareness of how often I am an idiot.
