I’m generally pro-peacenik, which is why I was willing to be patient with Baine for a long time. My problem with Tyrande demonstrating grace and wisdom in this way is that so far in WoW, she’s always been a stupid hothead that’s hard to believe as the 10,000 year leader of an equally old civilization. I feel like she would be best if she got to be the ‘wise hothead’ – someone who is about direct action and not necessarily patience and talking things out, but is thinking on their feet at multiple levels, though this has been instead given to Greymane if anyone. I think there’s ways you can reframe the scene to end in the same decision and end up with that support, though I agree with Zuleika that that doesn’t seem to be something that they are capable of doing with her.
I do agree that they killed off too many characters too fast, though to damn with faint praise, that hasn’t really been a weakness of the current team compared to the rate at which the original team did it.
Going further, I would have groups like the Tushi and Houjin Pandaren, the Illidari and Ebon Blade who joined each faction act as meditators on the things their groups are specialized in.
(Not sure about the two pandaren groups honestly. Maybe they could speak for the mainland pandaren who helped either side and want a voice in how decisions are shaping the world and affecting everyone)
I agree, these characters should not be involving themselves like this constantly. Their involvement should be rare, far between and when it happens it should be a big deal.
Sometimes Blizzard gets this right but most of the time they don’t. I remember back in the day when a major character was involved, it really was a big deal. Now its just another Tuesday.
Maybe that would solve the Alliance god problem, the gods stay in their kingdoms and don’t involve themselves. So Nathanos doesn’t need to fight a god that has been weighted down to make the fight last longer. He just won’t fight the god at all, when the gods arrive its going to be that epic final moment reinforcement charge to fix the injustice and everyone can go home happy.
It makes so much sense now that we’ve learned that the person who came up with the idea to burn the tree isn’t the same person(s) who wrote the follow-up. And apparently either (a) he never told anyone what his plan for the follow-up was or (b) the person who wrote the follow-up didn’t like his original plan. (I suppose (c) this is his original plan is also technically possible, but it seems unlikely.)
you can´t simply move on if the problem is still existing and still continue to be written in such a way. Thats the reason i damm this single line that the horde still attack ashenvale, how you want to move on, if such a thing still happen, now? Its dumb and stupid, and it should break imidiatly the peace…if the horde can´t control their own troops.
Have you anything of substance to say or is this your only line? …an Audo da fe would not solve anything, no one want an traumaporn here, most people demand a real…Solution
It exist ways to improve the lore, but it would need an big sacrifice, that blizzard was not willing to take…they choose to take an opposite direction, the issue here is that the “timeframe” was passed in which the players were in the mood to do so.
This is the damage of “Wait and see” i refered earlier.
Certainly not with the fact that there are still Horde troops in Ashenvale right now, still killing night elves, that’s…just so absurdly stupid that I can’t think of a word to say about it except…Ridiculous.
age brings only one thing, expierience, and lessons learned which builds certain traits…but tyrande in wow is really lacking any wisdom, tyrande have some of the worst writing in wow…i don´t know whats the devs issue here…that they are so…bad in writing her.
Sometimes…the consequent path is the best way to move forward, yes, tyrande should have killed sylvanas, not in an traumaporn, but with the power of the night warrior, and tyrande should have killed nathanos at darkshore…tyrande and the night warrior should have retake ashenvale und darkshore by force, and should have inflicted an nightmare on the hordemoral…that no hordie enter ashenvale again…for the next 100 Years or so. …and should have lead the hunt of Sylvanas Windrunner thereafter the 4th war.
Why? Because its consistent and consequence, it makes sense…it makes simply sense to write it in such a way.
And yes, elune could have given mercy to tyrande instead of killing her, to take responsiblity for her own mistakes.
The story thereafter sylvanas “dead” would be a path of humble dignity, maybe we have to save her from the maw because zovaals plan and she ´s the only one who knew where he ´s…everything that happened later on could have make sense …and why in the end…she was allowed to have her dignity…but in the first place she should have faced the wrath of elune…and die, because its simply make…sense, the entire story and layout was written in this way.
because sylvanas swallow her own medicine would be the best way to move forward and make the change…not with this soulsplitting-story…simply…to humble her by inflicting the same fate she doomed everyone else to and …open her eyes …she may never be able to return, but atleast a few things she can set right…to show that the sylvanas we know has convinced herself so deeply that this is the only way. that it is like waking up for her…from a horrible dream and let her have the dignity to accept it…and help, not because soulsplit …but because it is sylvanas. Her story would end here, yes…in sl, but her story should be over now aswell…and not put on freeze for the right moment
Regardless of what people want, it does look like Blizz is making the right choice this time and simply moving in a new direction.
It’s been 4 yrs, time for everyone to move on and stop these silly demands of one side absolutely dunking on the other for some revenge plot that’s just going to make the other side even more mad and them demanding they get revenge back.
Which ends with them writing a third subpar faction war with no one happy.
I am firmly in the boat with the direction DF is going and I am excited
blizzard isn´t moving the plot…you know, moving on would say blizzard had learned anything, blizzard put only an hold on this kind of plot (This is the reason troops are still in ashenvale and kill night elves), this is the layout for an future plotline…and it is stupid and breaks their own argument, but it gets ignored ingame…
Blizzard is going out of their way to make the faction war irrelevant. As it should have always been. We’re going back to fighting monsters and other threats.
As far the exploring Kalimdor book goes, it’s pretty much a non issue because they’ll retcon it when it’s convenient
Guess my issue is, it’s been 4 yrs of the same revenge power fantasy some alliance players want, that actually isn’t going to fix the issue and it’ll just be the same problems going for more years to come.
Some of us are exhausted having these same old tired and rehashed arguements is all
And i analysed why it does affect everything going forward and why its so difficulty to deal with it…and showed a few solution that were not taken by blizzard out of fear…that they lose even more player in sl (we reached a point - if we can trust the sources - of less then 400k player, blizz had feeled fear…that sl break their game entirely and their playerbase to zero)
