I have a 10 part ticket going with blizzard for the last 4 days, and have not once gotten an answer or call back as I requested. The best answer i got is “this is normal” I also got a different GM who said “theres no trace of your characters” WTF is this man

I’ve decided to take the path of Lindatripp and also cancel my subs. I’ll resub once I am compensated for lost time/money caused by this disastrous server merger. I suggest anyone dealing with these issues to do the same.

For me its not even so much about the actual headache of losing my characters as much as the lack of anything from blizzard staff. I get more customer service from the crackhead at the McDonald’s drive thru than I’ve seen from the support staff here these past 2 weeks.

Yo… only one of my characters from netherwind made it to a new server? Where are the rest? OR did they not exist like some of these other players above?? Did I hallucinate spending many hours and gold on characters that never existed? I’m going to freak if i get a “No trace” response to my ticket.

Any chance we can get an official update on what’s going on with our toons? Not sure why it’s been so long without this communication- obviously, many people are waiting/expecting something here.

I am still missing at least 3 characters. No word from blizzard on timelines.

My toon 49 rogue still missing, no word from any gm yet.

Funny how this all could have been avoided if they simply connected realms, as the tried and true method, unlike this ‘consolidate’ delete realm nonsense.

Cancelled sub and requested a refund. Probably wouldn’t have if they’d have communicated in the slightest. It’s clear they don’t care.

All of my characters still missing. Was on Herod, said they are going to Sulfuras.

Blue post says UP TO 2 weeks, that passed and TWO full maintenance days occur. Still zero communication on what is going on.

People are saying GMs cant even find records of their characters??? How is that even remotely close to possible. With a huge merge like this, blizzard would have made extensive backups and copies of characters and accounts with huge amounts of record keeping to make sure all characters get transferred. How do you lose peoples characters???

What is going on? Why is no blue post providing updates seeing as how the two week limit they gave has passed? Is this a joke?

This company is a joke atm, no relationships with their customers. This will burn alot of peoples bridges going into wrath

GMs can’t find characters, and it doesn’t even exist for me where you can pick your avatar here on the forums. My character is just gone. They’ll let all of us cancel in frustration, instead of shining a light on their incompetence with a blue post. The hardcore audience likely did the transfer ahead of time, they have no interest in retaining a would-be returning player.

The lack of any kind of official response is absolutely a joke.

HOWEVER - I know my character is still out there somewhere because when I log into “World of Warcraft Classic” (not Burning Crusade Classic) and select my old realm, my character still shows up as a “Clone” - it says I can’t access the character, but they’re there!!

This is so aggravating.

At this point just say our characters are lost and you’re not doing anything about it. It is what it is, things happen. Just provide an update and put this topic to rest.

To maintain healthy populations for Burning Crusade Classic realms, we’ve regularly reviewed realm populations and offered Free Character Transfers from realms that dropped to a low population. Additionally, we’ve made the decision to retire some Burning Crusade Classic realms and consolidate their remaining players onto other realms that have higher populations.

Is it just me or was this the only post from June 6th, 2022 and the actual post of warning us about characters not being able to be played for up to 2 weeks was posted DURING weekly maintenance?

## Update – August 9 – 10:15 a.m. PDT

How are we going to transfer characters prior to consolidation if you only warn us while it is happening? At the same time they expect us to pay them to not be able to play our characters or have to pay to move to another realm. I don 't understand how notice was given when weekly maintenance starts at 07:00 (PDT)?

joined back in at the apsolutly worst time. cant play any of my characters on any classic mode for 2 weeks now, what a joke.

It has now been two weeks since the server mergers, and four of my six characters have still yet to be transferred. The original post stated it would take UP TO two weeks. Should I assume my alts have all been deleted? (including two level 70’s). I tried to open a ticket in game, but was unable to do so based on this topic. Thought I would come here to see what others have to say/think about the situation. Thanks in advance for you time!!
