Im just going to outright accuse them of Non Communication.
althought I donot agree with locking auto moved characters for a week+ just becasue tehy didnt let us know where we were getin migrated too.
They prolly waiting to see who does freebies first so they can divvy out the stalwart homesteaders
We still do not have a full list of retiring realms and their destinations. This was supposed to be available “soon” when the consolidation was announced 2 months ago. When should we expect the complete list?
After the consolidation, can we please disable all layers, bring back queues, and offer free transfers off mega servers to spread the population away from them?
Players were demanding transfers since Classic’s launch. We got them. I do agree that it wasn’t good for the overall health of the game. However, players bailed off of servers that had relatively healthy populations because they wanted an easier time finding groups. Heartseeker went to healthy and fun to dead in a matter of weeks.
Use of layers and removal of queues are the two biggest enabling that Blizzard did.
With queues and no layers, then players would naturally seek comfortable servers, and megaservers would not grow to this size where they dominate the landscape.
No date on pre-patch either or how long it’s going to be! You’ll take no communication and you’ll like it. Now pay that sub and buy the northrend pass!
I don’t think they are delaying anything, they have the servers offline for 4 hours for maintenance tomorrow, I just think they aren’t communicating well. Like normal. People don’t even know where their characters are going.
Maybe we will get an update today, maybe on Wednesday after it’s done. Maybe next week people will find where their characters went and post about it on here with no word from Blizzard at all. Who knows.
If people haven’t transferred just go to Grobb today. it’s the most healthy of the choices at the moment.
To play devil’s advocate, implementing layers could have been a smart move, if handled better. Implementing layers during new content releases makes a lot of sense. Layered realms shouldn’t be a default.
