2 of my toons had legacy quest item Dartol’s Rod of Transformation in their bags and it was sent to their mail.

Disappeared when trying to retrieve it from mail on this shaman. I did not delete the mail or let it expire.

Other legacy item still sits in my night elf rogue’s mail on this realm. I won’t attempt to retrieve it until it is safe.

I want these returned as they are important to me. I have memories attached to them.
I recently received a Gear Update on this character and one of my old rogues so I could level and gear them up in the pre-expansion content.
I had the legacy quest item in both characters inventory, the Dartol’s Rod of Transformation, and it was sent to their mail after I requested this service.
When I went to retrieve this item on this character from my mail box, it disappeared after clicking on the icon.
I’ve already been through a couple of AI GM responses that kept directing me to perform a mail restoration on this character. This won’t work in my case as mail was not deleted, nor did it expire. I still had 170+ days on the expiry timer when this happened.
The final GM response was helpful and sent me here.
My account was created in the Spring of 2007, and I am almost certain I got the item on these toons shortly after. This shaman is my 3rd oldest toon. My rogue was created not long after. I do have a lot of memories attached to this item as we used to use it as a “toy” while in raid or other general goofing around. Any help retrieving this legacy item would be much appreciated.
I have not retrieved the other Dartol’s Rod of Transformation from my night elf rogue on the Icecrown realm. I am worried that it will also disappear. It still sits in it’s mailbox with 167 days left to expiry.
If possible I would like this item returned to me and have the ability to retrieve the other one from my rogue’s mailbox without it disappearing, thank you for your time and attention.
