Bump, still having this problem and it’s really annoying.
There’s an even more annoying bug since TWW has come out, and that’s that sometimes my target will drop for no reason at all when I’m in combat. Both PVE and PVP. It seems to happen most often in world pvp and bgs (and it’s not shadowmeld; even classes that don’t have access to night elves randomly drop… also it happens with mobs, who clearly can’t shadowmeld).
Anyone else having the target-randomly-dropping issue?

Yup, put me down for this bug, as well.

The loss of target issue is a constant menace in all PVE content, between this and the nonsensical pathing issues and line-of sight issues for untargetable mobs that are actively eating your health bar, I am more than convinced the devs have no idea what they are doing this expansion.
Then there is the “not dead yet” effect of the game not acknowledging that something is dead and holding you in combat for a ridiculously long time. Not being able to loot the same “not dead yet” but very dead mob is also annoying.
It make me less inclined to do anything more than I absolutely must with this Expansion.

only fix I’ve found it to cancel the loot and right click it again to get it to work

Yeah. That is so annoying to have to do that. Sure it only take sa second but it shouldn’t be doing it in the first place.
With everyone doing speed runs of dungeons these days, stopping to loot for that extra second can get a guy kicked or, worse, left so far behind that he doesn’t get credit for the next boss kill. Both have happened to me more than once in Timewalking dungeons and LFR.

Add me to the list.
It happens when looting bodies and with herb/ore nodes; it happens in the open world and in delves; it happens with one body and with groups. Same with using my interact keybind, with an autoloot keybind set, and with manually clicking the body.
I’m currently not using any looting addons, although the frequency was -far- less when I was than it is now without.
Both world and home latencies are both well within acceptable ranges (consistently in the low 60s and only deviating when the server itself is severly overloaded), and everything client-side is consistently responsive otherwise.
It never happened before 11.0, only rarely between 11.0 and 11.0.2, and now it happens about 10% to 15% of the time, even after all these hotfixes and mini-patches and other assorted maintenances and adjustments on Blizz’s end.
It’s tiring, especially when I’ve been whacked with the broken guild banks and unusually squishy hunter pets (among other smaller things). >.>

Yes, it has been an annoying bug with auto loot! Where part of the time it is not looting like it should. That don’t help especially when a lot of groups want to speed through dungeons, delves, or raids and having this bug happen will cause you lose loot since you cannot reloot the body to keep up with them.

Auto loot STILL not working properly. This especially sucks when it’s a chest and if you don’t get the loot and walk away, some chests disappear.

Come on Blizzard, FIX this damn bug now! I don’t use addons and I have uninstalled / reinstalled the game multiple times, and reset everything multiple times. My friends have done the same and we have reported this hundreds of time in bug reports.
AUTO LOOT IS BROKEN!
FIX IT NOW!

the Auto Loot bug is on the server side and not on the users side … looks like Blizzard needs to stop being myopic and needs to fix these bugs or risk losing players subs.

Also having this happen at least once every couple hours as others have stated and I’m fairly certain during those times my finger is not resting on or anywhere near shift. Also part of the no addon camp.

It’s now October. After a couple months of maintenance and updates, the problem remains. I begin to wonder what the maintenance and updates are for, if not to fix bugs.

Right. It’s to introduce new bugs mainly.

I would assume at this point that it wont be fixed until the 11.0.5 patch, which should be released this month, but I agree its ridiculous that it takes this long to fix.

If you’re out in the world and not in an instance, I have found there is basically a 100% correlation between “autoloot breaking” and “oh look theatre is happening.”
