Frost is good at my rating. Fmage partner does 1 mil dmg pretty wuick and is tanky
If they changed the slow duration on all frost spells to a flat 5 seconds and gave them a 5 percent buff. Then I would feel like that would prop them out of the gutter.

imagine sacrificing 24/7 fun rotation for random little “highs” every 30+ seconds or via rng that you have no control over or when cds r popped

Frost is better than fire.
Frost is actually the best mage spec in my opinion… when played well, in a good team.
If you buff frost, mages like Wealthyman, Graycen, floormat are all going to wipe the floor with everyone.
Fire is like the spec that any mage can pickup and toss around… I used to think mage was a skilled class. Then fire mage happened.

for my part i think Frost is fine, we’ve seen many in the tourny, they are doing pretty great imo, though Fire feels so better thn i think we don’t actualy need to buff frost but to nerf fire instead, it SHOULD even things out (again, imo… may be wrong)
Frost and fire are both easy just have to switch up your playstyle between the two. Fire is def more fun tho since you don’t have to rely on teammates as much as Frost.

This frost is actually arguably the best spec in the game since mages are just super dominant in the meta to begin with
Fire is more popular because it’s easier, and gpyro dumbs that down a lot. Ironically fire is still solid without gpyro anyways. Just requires you to play your spec right instead if just some silly gimmick
But ya frost is actually so incredibly powerful lol. Only thing I’d maybe change is buff some damage if they were squishier but at high gear levels their damage feels much stronger than last season imo, and last season they also were super powerful lol

Frost is incredibly good, just also incredibly boring. People don’t seem to like playing it or playing against which is the hallmark of a terribly designed spec imo. Imo what would make frost fun would entail:
- Shimmer removed completely
- Deep freeze added back
- Deep shatter increases damage of frostbolt & ice lance against frozen targets (not FoF, actual freeze) by a much higher %, maybe 250-300%?
- Frostbolt damage buffed
- Comet storm damage nerfed or talent just removed entirely
- Ice nova damage can stay the same, with 1 charge it seems relatively okay
- Frost barrier (along w/ all mage shields) reduced by a good 30-45%
- Temp shield up to 1 min
- Frost bomb entirely redesigned to work the way it did in S13, big chunk of damage, can be dispelled, can’t be detonated with fire blast
- Frigid winds nerfed from 15% extra slow to 10%
Then frost would actually be relatively fun to play again. Would die due to no shimmer and nerfs on ice barrier along with less slows from frigid winds. Frostbolt and ice lance shatters would be notably more powerful while comet storm & orb wouldn’t be blowing people up every 30 secs. Freecasting mages would be scary (possibly too OP w/o nerf to rate of flurry procs) but since you could more reliably sit on them w/o shimmer it would be counterable.
Just some starting thoughts on the spec being fun idk.
