Heroic Byrntroll, which sims better than Shadow’s Edge in some cases and is one of the top weapons in the game. It makes sense they would use that weapon when not doing infusions. I know they are, because Shadow’s Edge was listed in the log too.
Now compare a unholy using heroic Byrntroll to one using the 2 BiS DW unholy axes off LK (heroic Havoc’s Call) and then get back to me.

Few things to unpack here. We’re clearly in a classic plus phase so you authenticity argument holds no weight. Ret and feral didn’t qualify for a buff but now that unholy dk isn’t number one they qualify for a buff? Based. You think not only ss should get buffed but another flat 7peecent damage increase added as well on top of it. Cool your posting on your hunter alt because your dk is trash and you don’t want to get called out for needing buffs because you are trash. Moving on.

If 2h unholy was viable, then those lists would have other 2h heroic weapons listed like they do for fury and ret BiS lists. They don’t because it isn’t.

Dk expansion btw, originally how it was anyway.
Lets make the expansion where the entire theme evolves around dks, release dks as a new class, base the 2h legendary weapon around them too, but gimp the heckerooni out of their 2h damage right at the end of the expansion.
Then on the rerelease of the expansion 10+ years later lets gimp dks even more by making 2h trash the whole expansion, cuz f you dks. You can still do lots of dmg with this dw spec with a super lame rotation.

Yes becasue those buffs were intended to be used withouth ICC gear. and now open your eyes we’re in phase 4, so they need to be removed got it?, they weren’t in original wrath anyways and for a reason.
It’s also based around Paladins. And yet every other thread is complaining about the buff they got.

See I don’t think you’re understanding what those words mean. Saying it’s not “viable” means you think that with their dps they cannot accomplish their goals. That bosses cannot be killed and that they are overall a net negative.
Being not optimal means that while they are enough to accomplish those tasks there are better, more beneficial ways to go about it.
2H DKs are viable even without a legendary. They become optimal when they get it
anybody who says morb spec is fun to play doesnt know what fun is. Anyone complaining about dk being top the whole expansion that they were introduced in mains pally, warrior, or rogue.

Agreed, DKs need a buff. How are we supposed to keep up with these major Ret and Feral buffs. DKs have been overlooked all expansion. I don’t think it’s fair that we only got to be top dps for 80% of the expansion. Please nerf ret paladins and delete druid as a playable class.
So paladins should have 3 specs that dominate every role for the whole expansion. After coming off a high from TBC, and going right back into another high in cata ( when dks are pretty bad). Paladin cope sheesh

2h unholy wasnt originally super OP until people started getting heroic ICC gear, but they didnt just do a small adjustment to it… THEY ABSOLUTELY DUMPSTERED IT.
