Then remove the ability to shut off experience. It shouldn’t be a problem after all.
This is pretty spot on.
I mean, let them do them. Some people are content with playing games on easy mode. Nothing wrong with that.
Na we’ll just remove xp from BGs entirely.
No to both accounts.
So you’d basically make it twink only again, are we talking in circles here?
I mean yeah… I have never claimed that wasn’t my PoV. It was the reasoning behind it that I am disagreeing with you on.
You see the statement above as proof of laziness. That is the only reason in your mind that someone wouldn’t want to farm up end game gear.
My point is that there are other reasons one might not want to farm end game gear. For me it’s the fun factor. I have gotten geared up every season for the past 5 expansions, I have zero issue farming gear at end game. I’m clearly not just too lazy to farm gear, it’s the dumpster fire that is BFA gearing that I have an issue with.
How would an inactive account even have access to understanding what is happening in our Battlegrounds?
Next thing you know we will see Honor Level 1 players making the same impossible claims.
I mean I’m gonna be honest, you don’t even really need gear to do randoms at endgame either. And if you’re doing rated pvp, you get better gear anyway than you would from randoms.
So let me attempt to summarize this:
You don’t want to farm gear and just want to play. You aren’t lazy because you’ve geared up in the past. Twinking has become your end game.
People casually queuing for battlegrounds while leveling just want to play. They are lazy because they don’t put in the effort. Twinks expect them to get on the gear treadmill they themselves opted out of.
We’ve had this discussion before Juga lol.
Here’s was my response last time you made that point.
Again to reiterate, I am not at all saying that is the objective truth or all players or anything, that is simply my opinion on why I find BFA and it’s gearing systems incredibly unfun.
I am bringing it up as an alternative to the idea that the only reason someone wouldn’t want to gear up at 120 is pure laziness.
Yea, I had dejavu writing it
Nope. Wrong right off the bat. Again.
You seem to be missing the point that there are different paths to gearing, or at least there used to be. I have no problem farming gear when the activities that reward the gear are fun. IE conquest vendors and PvP gear of the past. When you could que up for PvP and earn the best gear in the game for PvP, by doing PvP. Forcing myself to do things that I don’t want to for a reward isn’t fun, that’s called a job.
Just because I don’t enjoy the PvE gear grind doesn’t mean that I just don’t want to farm gear at all.
I will say however, unless you are going for the very top rating, you really can just pvp. Plenty of groups in LFG if one won’t take you.
On a side note: Valarien, are you really only Honor level 1? Have you done any pvp since wod?
What gear does your twink(s) wear primarily?

Pretty much. He’s tossing out the most word salad to justify laziness I’ve seen in a while.
I think I’m honor level 17? I have the bloodthirsty title so I’m not a rookie when it comes to battlegrounds.
Maybe the armory is wacky.
But have you experienced low level BGs lately? Or just going by what people post? They aren’t really that bad and I have Bloodthirsty like 3 times over.
Here is a comparison to how an Entry Level item will be compared to the Middle and End Bracket options. 20-25-29, 40-45-49.

How would this be possibly more gradually done?
Not trying to “justify” anything… I am more than willing to admit I am lazy with alot of things lol but for this particular issue that is not a factor.
I was simply trying to point out that there are often more than one side to things. That he shouldn’t presume to know the personal motivations of other people.
Was hoping that by explaining a different point of view that he might realize he’s being a bit close-minded with his analysis. Seems like it may have been a futile effort though, you guys’ preconceived notions seem to be holding strong regardless of what anyone says.
