Bring back water walking mounts

you’re remembering wrong.

perhaps but some of the other posts indicate OP is wrong as well. I know I have never bought mount equipment for new characters for that.

In any case, you are the one who seems to just be inflating your post count since you haven’t been on topic yet once.

my post count doesn’t need boosting.

not all characters benefit from water walking.
there’s no reason why you’d need to buy it if you’re not planning to use it.

however, the people who went out of their way to get the water walking mounts, did it because they wanted water walking… and now they have to pay for it over and over.

And the JOKE note they left about how they had evolved and lost their WWing really was just over the top absurd. Thats the best they could do? Id have preferred that the species fell victim to some ancient pandarian virus unleashed by all that screwing around with buried crap in the land.
Good lord…even I could have come up with something more creative and Im the least creative person on this entire planet, lmao

It’s cheap as heck if you have a character with the required rep. It’s more cost effective to just go grind it out.

the fake concern of “everyone using the same mount” was an easy fix too.

give more mounts the ability to water walk.

now that theyve unleashed the ridiculous by allowing yaks and mammoths to walk on water messiah style, yeah…just give us mount flying equipment. Old flight, obviously.
Literally no valid point not to. We already have wingless horses, etc that fly.
Certainly if they took a proverbial dump on the striders unique WWing ability its no skin of some flying horses nose if they make him obsolete as well, lol

Yes that is the situation. I got both water walking mounts. But blizzard isn’t going to revert this so complaining about a little gold the nat pagle item costs does nothing. If $40 per character is beyond your ability just go do a flying quest.

Now if OP is buying the mount equipment from the auction house which costs over 500 gold they now know they have an alternative method.

people who got the water striders… have the rep.

yeah, some of mine have the equipment, some dont.
If youre running DK probably dont need it anyway.
I generally just use my pandaren raft if Im just needing to be on water here and there, which works in dungeons with water too, which is convenient.

i grinded out BOTH of the water striders to have water walking mounts, then i am left with some drunk fisher man telling me, that my water walking mount somehow forgot how to water walk a day after he was doing it? I am supposed to believe that crap?

There was a player out mooching gold a while back just needed a couple hundred for something, he said.
My question is, with all those gold quests all over the map, including SL where one quest is like 250ish gold, why does anyone in this game every run short of gold in the first place?

500g for all your mounts to WW is ridiculous cheap. The NPC who sells it is prettymuch giving it away given ONE green BoE drop in DF will cover the cost lol

yeah, I was irritated about the whole thing but I’ll get over it. lol.
It was that absolutely juvenile notation in there talking about evolving and losing their WWing that made me want to lose my lunch, lol.
Someone should have been reprimanded for that total lack of creativity.

The worst part is, SOMEONE else looked at it and was like " Yeah that seems good, Approved" I mean LORE wise it is kind of funny how Nat is selling an item that gives them back their water walking ability? I would say HE had something to do with it so he can fund his alcohol addiction.

oh yes…that thought has crossed my mind many times, lmao.
its not just one set of eyes on anything in this game.
Someone looked at that absurdity and said ‘run it’ LOL.
makes me wonder :joy:

those quests weren’t available 5 years ago.

they can do whatever they choose.

forum is here for feedback.

if you don’t understand peoples issues, have a read of this… and also take note of how many of the people who hated this change… are no longer playing.

this actually sounds plausible.

and intervention is needed.

this thread isn’t from 5 years ago…

Warlocks were the original class to have water walking mounts… but, in true Blizzard fashion, they decided that Warlocks shouldn’t be interesting and took it away.
