Bring Back Raid Finder

H+ both does not fill the same niche as LFR and is much more so trash.

Yep.

they’d have to move stuff lfr granted to something else.

these are the same devs who won’t fix classic cata WG vehicles. and that is copy paste demo stats from IOC/SOTA to the WG vehicles.

They’d prefer not to. but they also prefer not to do added work over original releases either.

I see lfr coming only because they’d do more work to remove it.

Path of least resistance. As they will need to drop the mop, wod, etc…and go back to classic+/sod stuff.

You know, the game they make changes never seen before. and then has them clean up the issues after.

More than that.

Since LFR became a staple by the time MoP came, they would have a hard time selling why they skipped it for Cata.

Even harder when the predicted rush to normal…may not happen.

later wow changes a few things. Raid gear loses its importance in pvp.

Current classic they got/get inflated normal numbers since many have to be there. If only for weapon.

Later wow normal drop off was not jsut dreaded lfr. It was pvp didn’t need to pretend for 2 months they cared about raid. which some I know besides me…don’t.

I worked with a guy who had a nice deal in his guild. Free boosts/carries in rated, he got carried in raid.

carebears wanted the pvp items for collect them all ocd. He wanted a shot at a pve ring to min/max primary stat. Deals were made.

the dude could not give 2 craps about raider io. when you boost several key members of the guild, they don’t care either lol.

I don’t think they’d have a hard time selling why they skipped it at all. With the forums being practically DoA compared to previous expansions, and the lack of care most players are even showing on the topic in general, I doubt they’d have to say much more than “community”.

Why do you think Blizzard cares even an ounce about what players feel about what they say, do, or don’t say or do?

Reading through this topic, the only clear thing is that most people here are clueless about what causes the in-game issues, they stuck to their idea of what is the problem disregarding everything else not because they are right, but because they are unable to admit when they are wrong.

Who’s wrong, and how are they wrong?

LFR is neither necessary nor desired. The developers have expressed in an interview their preference against its return.

  • Whether LFR makes it into Cata is still being discussed. The door isn’t closed, but they prefer not to.

LFR was bad in Cata and will be even worse this time around. Back in Cata, guilds would queue up for LFR to need on every piece of loot to distribute it among their raid roster. Now, this time around, you don’t only have to worry about that, but you also have to worry about the me no speak English 3k ping ninjas coming in and needing on everything because they can. Just look at the RDF for heroics right now as a prime example. The LFR environment is going to be far more toxic than those. Those are the players that will flood LFR.

I could say the same about feral buffs and your constant crying.

Then don’t use it.

The significant difference lies in the complexity of playing a feral character versus the simplicity of the Looking for Raid (LFR) mode, which requires considerably less skill.

Or better yet, don’t reintroduce it at all! Developers have more pressing issues to prioritize. Catering further to casual players is already problematic, with the introduction of heroic+ dungeons likely to feature vendors selling HEROIC RAID quality gear as new welfare epics. This gear used to require players to invest hours, days, or even weeks progressing through bosses to acquire.

Or maybe, just maybe, don’t use it and just let others have it? This is like saying not to add RDF in Wrath at the end, or xmog in Cata cause it “promotes needing when you don’t actually need something”.

The simple fact is that it isn’t needed. Normal is there for the casuals.

Small servers struggle to form groups. Feral buffs aren’t needed either, but you insist on making multiple threads about it. Let people have fun, simply don’t use it.

Choosing to play on a small server is a personal decision. You opt to play there and to participate in 10-man raids. While other options exist, you decide not to consider them. It’s the definition of insanity. I chose to play as a feral druid because it was/is needed for heroic progression. However, it’s frustrating that feral druids are considered F tier in damage, especially since it’s the only melee DPS option for druids and is also the most complex class to play.

Also remove determination.

That won’t be necessary if they don’t add LFR.

That would be my preference tbh. But if added, at least no determination. Guaranteed wins for raid shouldn’t be a thing.

I completely agree. The developers have stated in the interview that they prefer not to reintroduce LFR to Cataclysm. The majority of the player base supports this decision, with the exception of casual players who struggle to complete normal raids.

they ran the content that drops lower ilvl gear, like heroic dungeon and normal raids, before they ran the heroic raids.

assuming this is a brand new character, so in this scenario they would:

  • run Normal Dungeons (333 ilvl)
  • Run Heroic Dungeons (346 ilvl)
  • Run Zandalari Dungeons (353 ilvl)
  • buy FL justice gear (378 ilvl)
  • run H++ dungeons and/or the 3 new CoT dungeons (378 ilvl)
  • run LFR Dragonsoul (384 ilvl)
  • run normal FL to get heroic level loot (391 ilvl)
  • get Valor and purchase valor gear (397 ilvl)
  • buy new BoE/Crafted gear (397 ilvl)
  • run normal Dragonsoul (397-403 ilvl)
  • run Heroic Dragonsoul (410-416 ilvl)

so again i ask, why does having LFR hurt the process of “getting yourself to be the best you can be to get invited into groups” for classic?
