Bring Back Raid Finder

I’d like to see raid finder available when the Firelands raids go live. 6 months in P1 has been painful.

It’ll probably be here in Dragon Soul

“Bring back” raid finder for a raid that never had it. Yeah, that makes sense.

This is ranked up there with bringing back GDKP’s to SoD as bad ideas goes!!

Oh, boo hoo!

Just out of curiousity, why IS raid finder a bad idea?

getting yourself to be the best you can be to be invited into groups is part of the character development. raidfinder greatly hurts this.

When most bene/faerlina pugs fail on the second boss in za how would raid finder work??

I think this question mostly boils down to if they plan to do MOP. If they do, then raid finder probably needs to be in the game. Its realistically the only way you will ever be able to catch up on the cloak if you show up later or miss a raid tier because it is an expansion long quest. So you toss it in during Dragon Soul to get it working right, be sure to have the changes they put into it after its first release in Dragon Soul to make it a less toxic experience, and call it a day. If MOP isn’t in the cards then who cares the game is over after Dragon Soul and it does nothing really. Dead game if you know what I mean.

I am pretty sure at this point MOP is in the cards. At least that is what my gut is telling me. So, going with my gut feeling here (no hard proof before we get that big ball poster in here saying that) I say just put it in and get it right now during the the absolute worse tier of raiding we are going to deal with for probably a really long time.

Keep LFR out of Cataclysm; it’s not wanted or needed.

but how? most groups won’t take your LFR geared character into a heroic raid so you’ll still have to find a normal mode group to run, and it’s fundamentally the same concept idea as the H+ dungeons for catch up gear except its an easier form of current content rather than a harder form of old content.

Indeed, people generally prefer not to carry deadweight. However, there is a typical progression path that most players follow on their main characters:

  1. Normal Dungeons
  2. Heroic Dungeons
  3. Normal Raids
  4. Heroic Raids

Why should you receive special treatment if you don’t want to follow the same progression that everyone else has?

This is why LFR and H+ dungeons are detrimental to the game. They cater to players who aren’t interested in raiding, awarding them loot they haven’t truly earned or deserved. If you want to gear up, you should follow the progression path. For those on an alt, perhaps friends or guild members might assist you.

Aren’t you the one begging they revert a change? It should be in Cataclysm, just, when they originally added it.

If they had released Cataclysm in its original intended state, then Feral damage output would be higher than it is currently. Back in the original Cataclysm, Feral PUMPED, but that is not the case now.

Then you agree they should at least add what is intended to be added in future patches, correct?

With the exception of LFR. Its bad enough blizz is adding H+ dungeons.

And why do you get to decide the exception? What if I said with the exception that feral must receive even more nerfs? Wouldn’t that upset you?

LFR received a poor reception in the original Cataclysm. The vast majority of the player base either disliked LFR or did not use it. Blizzard has stated that they are unlikely to add LFR to Cataclysm due to this reason.

Lol that argument is illogical and lacks context. You cannot equate nerfing an underperforming specification with releasing a feature that the majority of the player base does not want!!! That’s like comparing lemons to coconuts.
