They are, you’re just not hearing what you want to hear.
Great news! You don’t have to pay a single dime.
All you have to do is go into Org or SW, click “War Mode on” and congratulations! You’re now on a PvP server!
I’ve provided plenty, and all you counter with is opinion.
Lets just stop here. I’m sorry I tried to respond to you.
honestly, i think a fair few people in this thread would be more polite if they could be punched in the face. in game, of course. the real value of pvp servers, stomping people who need a good stomping.
It is.
Irrelevant to you, since they cannot interact with you if you have WM on and they do not.
MG doesn’t have one either, anyone can party up and join in. We moved past battlegroups a long time ago.
So, like I said: War Mode is the PvP server experience. The only thing is nobody actually cares about WPvP.
You being better or worse at a game has no basis on this discussion. Even if you were an AWC champion your idea would still have no merits.
Okay, so why bother with an RP server? Can just rp where you like.
I wish people who don’t have any investment in pvp would stop telling me what they think I want.
Unfortunately Blizzard, by prioritizing funneling players together so that they could do content, and the change in player expectations, eroded communities.
RP and PvP live and die based on their ability to form community. So both forms of play take more work to accomplish and cannot reach the heights of their respective “heydays”.
I feel your pain. My best suggestion would be to use the community feature and widely cross-server/faction recruit. Stage events that would be open to those outside of your Warmode PvP community. Set the dates for specific zones, hell offer in-game prizes.
It would be work, so invest in others that will help lift, but I bet you would draw in a good number of people that you could recreate that community feel. It will never be as organic, but the next best thing.
Good gaming to you. If you do go the community-event route, paste back here what you named your community and I’ll pass the word as well. We have a few guildies that would like to hear of this.
Edited to add: just thought: first check if communities like this don’t exist. Save you some work. ~.^
I don’t care what you think you want. If you want to imagine differences where they don’t exist, go ahead. But if you post things which are false and get corrected, that’s nobody’s problem but yours. Warmode fills the exact purpose a PvP server did.
translation: I get to feel better about being the worst at pvp by ganking people who have no chance against me.
People who want PvP only servers over war mode are simply narrow minded or just want to grief.
Ask for improvements to War Mode to get more people into it. IE: more War Mode specific content and events.
PvP servers have nothing to offer over War Mode outside of easier griefing.
you bloody called it. every comment after this one was an utter waste of time. should just go back to that private server i never played on.
because just like the classic server ‘you think you do, but you dont’… others will provide the service when ‘official’ sources dont.
in fact WM has MORE benefit given the 10% boost for doing stuff.
I played on a pvp server from WOTLK through WoD. Just putting that out there before the rest of my post gets dismissed by OP.
I hated being on that server. I suck at pvp, I’ve never enjoyed it and it wasn’t fun having it forced upon me.
Why was I there? Because some RL friends/co-workers preferred to be there and I wanted to do things with them. This was back before cross-realm and cross-faction became a thing.
Warmode solves the real problem OP claims to have. I think they aren’t being honest about wanting to gank, but even if I assume they’re telling the truth, the “sense of community” is still there, if you have an active guild with people who enjoy the same types of activities.
If you don’t have that, OP, then make it happen for yourself. Calling people cowards and talking about punching people only hurt the case you purport to make.
translation 2: People refuted my point and I don’t have a comeback.
actual translation; idiots who presume to know everything cant see past their own nose.
Why are you talking about yourself in 3rd person now?
And now you’re calling people idiots. Seems you’re more intent on being hurtful than having civil conversation.
If you were that desperate, you’d already be playing one of the other versions of the game that Blizzard already provides that have the pvp servers you want.
put words in someone’s mouth and an insult is the least you deserve
