There weren’t stakes, unless you mean the question of which faction stops playing.
Then don’t do something to deserve being camped for two weeks straight. Actions have consequences.
exists as the faction opposite to what’s heavily represented on the server
deserves to be camped i guess
Action: Making the servers miserable to play on
Consequence: Blizzard took away that power.
Or just transfer servers, which these people did, Hence server faction inbalance.
How good is wpvp when your server chases off the other faction?
If there was no interest there would be no argument. Apparently some people are afraid of other people playing somewhere that has no impact on them whatsoever, unless they have a compulsive issue.
No, they weren’t miserable. We all loved it. You should have moved to a PvE realm, but you didn’t and ruined the fun for us who did like it.
It was fun when it was mostly mature adults who enjoy MMOs. That dynamic changed long ago and killed any resemblance of the great PvP server days.
PvE players had nothing to do with ruining it.
except people did move to a pve realm, which is why pvp servers got one sided and boring to people that stayed on.
No, your fun was ruined by letting people not play on pvp on mode because you couldn’t corpse camp for weeks. That’s your problem, not mine.
If I never turn on warmode, you having warmode on has no impact on me whatsoever.
If you never post something irrelevant, I never have to go out of my way to remember to pay you no mind.
There were no server transfers when I started you were stuck which is how it should be and should have been. Server transfers created servers like area 52, proudmoore, stormrage, illidan, sargeras, etc… Mannoroth my home server use to have a queue to get in and now it’s recommended for new players. Why? Because of server transfers.
So “kids these days” is your reason.
Just lining up these factual, well reasoned responses.
There was rerolling though. Why would I play the character I’m trying to level if I’ve been camped for 2 weeks. I’d just reroll somewhere else.
So I wasn’t letting people engage in PvP by engaging them in PvP? Re-read what you said.
Your “pvp glory days” amount to griefing and trolling. If you wanted PvP, you would have war mode on because it has all the perks except the griefing and trolling. That’s the simple truth of the matter.
Agreed.
I hail from Emerald Dream.
Great memories of role play world PVP.
How is it irrelevant? It’s comparing your example of a pvp server to my example of warmode. They are the same.
People did do that.
