Your opinion of a pve toggle for pvp on a pve server claiming to be the same as a pvp server is irrelevant to the fact you don’t have to play on a pvp server.

It is the same thing, minus your ability to grief people indefinitely. If that’s a dealbreaker for you, good.

Not exactly. Picture one like a combat zone, and the other not. You don’t have a choice once you’re in the combat zone. People want to kill you. You can’t just put your gun down and hope for the best. Same principle applies on a PvP server.

Exactly the same thing. If you have Warmode on, you are flagged and every other person is flagged, just like a PvP server.

Warmode doesn’t change that.

You also can’t harass, hunt and grief someone until either they turn off their warmode, or you’re cornered by them and a friend and turn it off yourself to escape consequences.

Nope. Turn on WarMode. If you claim there isn’t enough, then there isn’t enough to warrant a pvp server that’s only ever gonna be used by rare farmers.

Sounds to me like a few boomers want to relive the glory days of classic PvP when realms had actual communities before sharding. That’s literally the only difference between war mode and PvP servers, is the communities.

I guess you can ask for it. But at the end of the day for blizzard to implement something there has to be demand for it. I would guess the number of players actually interested in an old school PvP server would be close to none.

The wow player base has grown older and evolved.

Except it isn’t. Warmode is complete garbage. Whenever I go into war mode there are so few people in the world it’s completely empty. When I had PvP servers I had tons of people who were always IN that world INTERACTING with that world. Now 98% of the server is on PvE only and I have absolutely nowhere to go for meaningful world PvP because you cried you were somehow stuck on a PvP realm which you voluntarily made a character on and got upset you got ganked.
