Bring back PvP servers. Put the war back in warcraft

Lol the memories back in wrath .the women in my guild would group up we would eat humanoid tracker food and go hunting horde, I was alliance at the time we only flew around Northrend.
When we raided Ulduar the horde would have to use lock summons because we were at the summoning stone, they would try to get us but we got them. I never went after lowbies no fun in that. I was ganked a lot as a lowby but there were times when the opposing faction would help or just leave me be with a friendly wave.

70% to 30% ganks, since 2 on 1 at least fulltime is quality entertainment. For the 70% anyway.

some of these people forget these pvp servers were removed since they were like our Benediction and Faerlina. 99%. That is not a pvp server. its pve server that thinks its pvp. Same for 99% whitemane.

I’d give them this though. Set up like grobb are the caveats though.

No transfers. it’s a reroll only server.

It has % locks. 95% of the time since alliance is slightly dominate for population you can’t make alliance chars on it. It took me 3-4 days to find that 5% window to get an alliance char in.

It would be a fun first week as players post up rants on why they can’t join this server. when they can. they make a char on the smaller side. Or they can wait almost a week like I did till enough horde was made I got a slot to make a char.

People don’t seem to know the difference between ganking and PvP. I don’t think they ever have, really. Not on this game.

You’re absolutely correct. To bring back pure PVP servers, they would need to find a “near 50-50” enforcement mechanism to keep the server population balanced. That seems like a lot of work when War Zones work almost as well.

Or how about instead of the 90% of people having to pay for server transfers, the 10% just doesn’t be jerks and try ruin the game for other people? And now if you want pvp your solution is doing bgs, arenas, or now warmode.

As to why I would want to go back to certain old content, perhaps I enjoyed the questlines or some of the dungeons there. Perhaps I enjoyed the scenery. Either way it’s really none of your business or relevant to the fact that you don’t get to ruin it for other people because “muh world pvp”. Sorry you’re not that important. The servers died because of people like yourself. So if you want to know why they were took out, look in the mirror. You have a right to seek fun, BUT not at the expense of other people.

You can say all you want “pvp happened on a pvp server” but the other 90% who were canceling their subs in droves disagreed and since they were the majority, they won out and rightfully so. You’re just mad because you can’t have a captive bunch of victims to ruin their game because you have nothing else going on in your sad little existence. But thanks for proving why the cancer of forced pvp needs to be eradicated from gaming completely.

Bro, you go to a PvE server. What did you think was going to happen when you signed up for a PvP server?

What I expect is actual pvp, not people trying to camp lowbies and saying “muh world pvp”. Unfortunately cowards like yourself ruined the pvp servers for everyone else because you thought you should be allowed to play corpse camping simulator and drive others away. See again, you don’t get to have a captive audience of victims for your amusement. There is no universe in which you are justified or correct, but feel free to believe what you want to.

Resets the clock to ‘0’ Days without someone asking for the war back in warcraft…

That was PvP. Ganking lowbies made high levels come save them and started entire wars that made the server forums. The rivalries and friends made from it were the best. Everything is superficial now, now everyone is just queue buddies in stormwind/orgrimmar.

It did no such thing.

Tell me you didn’t play on a PvP server without telling me you didn’t play on a PvP server. It happened all the time… I got no idea what game you were playing back then. My server was open warfare 100% of the time every time.

I was on Sargeras before they added War Mode. Someone saying “rip bro” was basically what the response was to being corpse camped.

I was not on sargeras during that time. I was on Mannoroth. Got no idea if back then sargeras was even a PvP realm and I don’t care. Now a days you just play on your one sided faction realm and queue for all content from your main city. How fun.

War mode isn’t anywhere near the same.

It was a PvP server. Also, there’s far more to do in the open world than there was earlier in the game’s life cycle, so you’re only sitting in the cities if you choose kot to engage with it.

It is the same.

It isn’t the same. Not even close.

It is though. It gives all the same perks that a PvP server did except ganking sub-20s in starting zones.

And a permanent option to just immediately turn war mode off if you happen to lose or get into an unfavorable situation. It’s stupid.

It’d still be worth it if blizz made a level difference over a certain amount cause them to be untargetable. (For either party)

That was always an option, it was just an inconvenient option.
