I get wanting to bring back old elite sets and also get why people don’t want it back. Honestly i just wish they just added more effort to mogs going forward. Even if its just remakes of old tier sets like they did for Tomb.
Also add new CM Mogs for mythic plus would be dope.
If a time gate wasn’t defined by something that had a limited window of availability, I’m not sure what else it would mean.
Time-gated generally refers to something being unavailable until a certain amount of time has passed; like if you can only earn 1k rep per week with a faction and there’s a shiny mount at 10k rep.
Like the crab mount that requires roughly 3 months worth of daily chores with no way around it. If you wanted to just hammer it out tomorrow you couldn’t because it’s gated.

participation goes up, cosmetics are reintroduced into the game
the only people who will earn that are people who play the game consistently throughout the expansion and pvp actively each season (or 2v2 players who play 10000games in a season). thus not every single player will get it
the only group of people who wouldnt like this change will be 35 year old gatekeepers who don’t want another player to have the same pixels they got 15 years ago.
