Bring back old PvP elite sets

Re-introducing them back into the game is devaluing them - it’s the very simple principle of scarcity. Nevermind that earning the sets in certain season may have been far more challenging then than it would be now.

Glad mounts, tabard, the wrist from a random elite set…whatever it is, if it was a prize for that season, it should remain for that season.

This is the real reason why you want the sets back in the game…and I don’t blame you for it. I made the mistake of quitting the game without even finishing the set. And you know what? Too bad, so sad, Suekey doesn’t get to complete the set. Tough, but that’s life.

To make the fictitious argument that you want these prizes back in to ‘improve participation’ when in reality it will do nothing more than destroy what little is left of this is game is a joke. Please, be honest.

No pls!

:sunglasses::sunglasses:

doesn’t that make sense, all our efforts to conquer the sets and enchant were for nothing? the shadowlands warriors who were 1500 at the time and who are gladiators season 2 would laugh in my face.

Sounds like a few folks have their transmog sets on their resume.

This mog made my monk friend quit the game. :dracthyr_cry_animated:

Just going to point out the t3 farm still requires you to sink minimum of 2.8mil and if your buying everything atm it costs 6mil for a full set. I feel like the equiv of that would be 2400 in any pvp bracket.

Considering how much gold people spent to buy each T3 item in the BMAH… I don’t know if it’s a good idea if Blizzard suddenly offers T3 for free/cheap.

Why does it cost this much? Is it the mats? Or are crafters just charging a ton of gold?

First you need need a lamented piece, which is about 600k per piece (or 10 clears of naxx on 10 different toons on average for 1 piece).

Then you need 1 piece of gear to make lamented into a forged piece which costs 280k and is only made by people with t3 achieve already and 300 of the classic proffesion. Then you need to buy the cloth (2.8mil for full 8/8set) from a vendor and about 400k each piece of other components from classic dungeons.

Then you can finally craft your piece which comes to around 6 mil atm or many many hours of farming. I bought a lot of t3 for about 20k gold from bmah.

It would be nice if there was a way for Blizzard to know/find out and allow people who earned the rating in older seasons to buy the elite sets from back then.

I still have never been given my S11 elite boots :frowning: or Primal, Tyrannical (I EVEN HAVE THE DARN 2h SWORD) and Grievous elite set which I USE TO HAVE BLIZARD GIVE IT BACK TO ME!

Is this the price from a NPC vendor?

Or is this the current price in the AH?

Current AH price the only vendor things you need cost a total of 2.8mil.

I assume AH prices will go down as more people realize they can make millions of gold by farming/selling those pieces.

They…can’t. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated: Unless you mean the non-vendor stuffs.

Yeah… That’s the second part of the sentence.

I think I ran naxx like 30 times and didn’t get a single piece. :dracthyr_love_animated:

Anyone who says no to this idea has an ego towards a pixelated item they received in previous xpacs. I would not mind having old elite sets available 2200+, granted a token per character per season, to go back and redeem an old set.

I have sets back from cataclysm on my mage that are not seen very often, would like to see people enjoy the sets and mog with creativity.

recolor the pvp elite sets imo, but im in favor of bringing back the primal elite sets that were completely different from normal pvp sets. that rogue set was so dope man.

Yeah, I really think it could help reinvigorate 2s and 3s a bit if it’s something exclusive to those brackets and not available in shuffle, which is already super popular.

Agreed! Would boost 2s/3s population and get more rating stimulating so we don’t have this very long slow curve of rating inflation.

Early season 3s is a bit rough but 2s just seems to stay that way because despite being the fun/chill and easy to hop into bracket there’s just no actual rewards for playing it which causes participation to fall off a cliff fairly early on.

Like, why get maimed by 20 diff hunter/rdruid teams for 2400 when you’re either gonna just play shuffle or push 3s anyways
