I actually thought about this and it instantly made me sad.
They still have chance to redo tier 4/5 though.
I keep holding out hope that theyâre gonna do a massive Timewalking Blackwing Lair or something for the anniversary. HD models of all drops.

Well, it was in line with how theyâve handled the other mounts, like stormdrakes, netherdrakes, so I didnât really see them walking that decision back.
Yeah, but that was because people cheesed moggies with the exploit and GMs got harsher restrictions with what they were allowed to help with.
Itâs a little dramatic to say that arena would die because you can earn a legion 2k set at 2400 2s/3s now or whatever. Itâd do something to the ladder, for better and worse, but I donât think itâd be massively negative.
Why risk it at all then and not just make recolors of the elites instead?
Doesnât step on peopleâs toes/devalue anything and it gives people new sets to earn.
Thatâs like going to a pinball tournament in 2019 and complaining because you werenât good enough at/didnât play pinball in 2014 because you want the 2014 model of a trophy.

And while weâre on the subject of itemization, collections, and reward based travesties, the fact that they did nothing with Archaeology in the Dragon Isles is crazy.
I mean the risk, realistically is a few angsty twitter posts about how the game is dying and then people just play their alts for the elite sets they want and nothing really changes.
Kind of like every other patch where they bring something back.
Again, the idea is to get people queuing more stuff and right now thereâs a distinct lack of rewards especially from both 2s and 3s, and even more so with alts.

Yea, they had a great opportunity. Not surprising they missed out on it. Kinda died out after legion/BFA right?
It risks devaluation of every elite set in the game ontop of risking the chance for other exclusive PvP items to return.

And of course not titles.
Yeah I dont think they did anything for Shadowlands either. Also a massive disservice.
Hot take: Archaeology has the potential to be its own entire endgame pillar if Blizzard actually wanted to devote time to it.

The same argument that youâre making for elite sets to return is the same I could make for mounts/titles.

I mean they could do mounts, but itâd never be titles for obvious reasons. Like I said before, nobody cares about titles, itâs always just the cosmetic stuff being removed that feels bad.
Feats + Titles arenât really overt enough for anybody to mind them being removed/unobtainable.
