What they threw in was recolors right? Not really the same thing and already pretty much accepted as a good compromise.
Yeah I know. Iām a firm supporter of recolors for old elite sets as rewards
Itās a good compromise.
People who want the older sets get them with different tints as new rewards while the people who have the older sets already donāt have their sets devalued.
in a the realm of a video game, tangible rewards are the only existing incentive. contrary to your belief the vast majority of players do not sit and hope someone reads their achievements to pat them on the back. the game moves far to fast to notice so called āsymbols of prestigeā anymore. an example that has been brought up before is āthe black harvestā title from mop. i have it, but most peoples UI prevents them from actually seeing player titles, so how dare they not recognize my prestige!!!
and thats the whole point. noone cares, they just want something to grind for. the carrots on the stick are the only thing that keep the mini game that blizzard has turned pvp into today alive. so, no, you are absolutely wrong on this one unfortunately. in the sphere of gaming, no reward=no incentive. sorry champ.
and as always the fallback of āstop wanting something you dont haveā. i never once claimed i wanted any of it, im just making arguments of how introducing a system would benifit and prolong the health of a dying minigame. But go on and gatekeep your pixels into oblivion.
Nah, they legit just threw a few actual elite pieces in from casual sources but again itās not like people notice unless itās plastered on the front page of wowhead.
Iām still of the mind that adding legacy elite set ensembles for somewhere between 2100 and 2400 in 2s or 3s would be good. Just limit it to 1 set per class per season or something.
Really? Like what?
Wod s2-3 bow from Legion TW
DF s1 2h mace from crafting
I think recolors would be amazing right there. Keep things new.
Why not both?
Because doing well and getting a medal in a tourney doesnāt earn you last weeks medal as well.
Itās 2k not 0.5 glad
People noticed, just that Blizzard did nothing about it.
A lot of people were pissed about the new frostwyrm on Twitter.
Ontop of that, they never threw an elite set back in (in fact they wouldnāt even give people who missed pieces from older sets the missing pieces to complete the sets) only some random weapons like wod elite bow or wotlk weps (which was only because hateful used furious colors for some reason).
Lol only because youāre a collector which I get but being collector you should understand more when it comes to things having value.
And being youāre a collector you care moreso about collecting rather than if arena dies. So logically it makes sense why youād want this.
It boosts the ladder short term but ultimately will kill it off besides people who actually enjoy the gameplay of it.
This, thatās like losing a pinball tournament in 2014 then practicing till 2019 and expecting the medal to say 2014 on it.
While weāre on the subject of old pvp/tier setsā¦can they do a remake of tier 5 sets like they did with tier 6 in Legion. Some of those old sets were super kickass, but have just aged horribly. The remake of tier 6 sets was very well received so Iām surprised they never did something like that again.
I would love a Tier 2 or 10 Warrior remake.
I just want a remake of the good old judgement set.
Agreed, I would say itās the most iconic WoW set ever.
Imma start riot for this remake, holy crap.
That same guy does some amazing remakes for the old mounts too.
