Yeah let’s make guilds that can make it to HoF have a massive advantage for the next one. And he calls me clueless.
Edit : maybe extend to CE and then I can see it. But HoF limited to 100, with the number of horde guilds competing for it? No way.

At this point Imo they should give up. It’s clear that no matter what they do to try and curb splits in the world first race the top guilds will just do something more degenerate each time. So Imo they should stop trying and if they want to funnel full heroic gear to each character then who cares? It’s like 200 people total involved in top end guilds so who cares.
It’s not like we won’t be more geared when we get to bosses 4 nerfs later anyway so it isn’t a tuning issue since we don’t kill the same bosses they do really already
Nah I’m just here egging you on for entertainment purposes.
See, it’s come full circle, so just re-enable ML for anyone who wants it, and if you don’t want it, don’t worry about it. Let people enjoy things that you don’t like
Holy heck how are you 2 still going back and forth about a pvp rating in a thread about master loot?
Do either of you really care about what you are arguing about?
I haven’t cared from the get go. I was just trying to rile him up for buying duelist
No one cares what some challenger 1 thinks, it’s just fun.
Ah, people who buy duelist prefer PL because they aren’t a) committed, or b) an asset in raids, so communist loot for their mindset of minimal/no effort. I see the correlation to the topic.
Spend that time learning to win 2s games at 1k cr.
Right well if you guys could go do that in a thread about pvp at least I will stop getting spammed with notifications that there is a post in a thread about something I actually care about
Thanks
Tell your buddy, I’m not gonna listen to you.
I tend to agree. Let them go at it, don’t make any real effort to stop it. It will give more guilds an outside shot at being competitive because funding will be less relevant and it will close the early gap between the top 5 or so and everyone else because only a couple of guilds in the world are able to run splits like that. If they try to continue making it harder maybe it will go from 5 guilds to 4 doing splits like that, but mostly it will just widen the gap between 4 and 44.
This is an extremely bad idea.
Some of our “core” raiders who mythic+ together have not been getting their tier as fast as others. All the other raiders have shown up as much and have cleared all the same bosses.
For the first time I heard the terms used “I want gear to get to my mythic+ team” from RL and one of the mythic+ raiders said they were ignoring a roll for gear to make an executive choice to give it to one of the mythic+ team. In the end that raider didn’t realise the “core” member had that tier piece and it went to the player that rolled higher.
Master loot was terrible back in classic. I saw it abused too many times. Don’t go back to the dark ages.
I tend to agree, I don’t really care about ML unless it would end up in the game modes I do care about, which would be inevitable.
One issue turns into several others that stem from it. But I get it, there’s no point in arguing about it since you won’t change your mind no matter how many points are being made that showcase how there’s more than one issue with it, so I won’t get into it.
Count the number of BiS trinkets that have dropped for people in your guild from Sylvanas, as well as the BiS daggers and compare them to the number of rings that have dropped.
Is it something that breaks the game? Clearly not, but it’s annoying enough to be considered an issue. Without the Great Vault, it would be a major issue for classes such as rogue and hunter. As it is now, it’s a medium one, but an issue nontheless. Only because you don’t identify it as one doesn’t mean it isn’t one.
In that case, why have people argued against guild master loot with 100% guild groups as well as personal loot without loot restrictions?
They’ve said in the past that they don’t want splitraids to become a thing. Also there’s the usual “playtime metrics” argument which may be a point, not sure about it.
For a pug? Feel free to share.
If it happens now, it will happen then, slightly more frequently. If it doesn’t happen now, it won’t happen then. If you’d rather have gear go to waste rather than a “once in a blue moon” kick happening, that happen now as well, then that’s your opinion on the matter, while mine is the opposite.
Agreed. The complete removal of Guild Master Loot (mind you, the legion version, not what happened in WoD and before) seemed to me to be aimed at making splitraids more difficult for RWF guilds and nothing else, so in that spirit I advocate for its return, in a more extreme version, namely 100% guildmembers being required for it.
Let’s be real, nobody who isn’t extremely gullible bought the argument about “trials deserving loot too!”.
And let’s be real, a lot more people would be fine with PL not having any trade restrictions than it having trade restrictions, but the main reason that won’t happen is so that RWF guilds don’t create raids with 30 paladins to funnel all the gear into one or two of them.
So again, I wholeheartedly agree, don’t design the game around RWF guilds and give us personal loot without trade restrictions.
You didn’t make any, to be honest. Thus ML>PL, at the end of the day. Also PL without trading restrictions > PL, as well as GML>PL.
There’s quite a few better ways at handling loot distribution compared to PL, but alas, we’re stuck with PL because Blizzard wants to stick it up to the elitists.
Why not? Do you mind sharing some arguments against it?
Probably, but PL causes the least amount of drama. That’s what it’s about. A well run loot council is very effective for good guilds. It gets bad when lesser guilds try to do it.
True. I genuinely forgot about the entire “let’s automate the entirety of our customer service and fire the majority of our employees who work in customer service” part that went on.
Remember the days when a GM would actually send you a tell lol.
Raiding isn’t the only game in town and I don’t think ML would stay in its lane if it came back. I’d rather keep it in elite guilds hands only and not let filler guilds/groups have access to it.
I mean 72% win rate at 1200 cr so I think I’m doing ok.
