What does being a casual player or not have to do with it?
Join a guild of like minded people.
I did and if we (tbh mostly me) didn’t play like monkeys on Sunday we would be 5/11m on a 2 night raid schedule.
If that isn’t the environment people want to play in that’s fine. Don’t join a guild where that is the guilds goal. There are other guilds out there.
I have also raided in guilds in the pasts that spend the whole tier getting AOTC. I spent over a month progging archimonde and had a great time doing it with good people.
When will they run into it during leveling? Dungeons? and LFR?
The earliest they can possibly run into it is in Normal mode raiding. The vast majority of normal mode guilds did not use ML… Half of the heroic guilds did not use ML. By the time they’re into heroic raiding though… they’re not new players.
Finally… If a single negative experience in game causes them to drop the game… They should NOT be playing an MMORPG. Expecting zero negative experiences in an MMORPG where the entire point is to have social interactions is flat out naive. How are they going to handle getting kicked from a M+ group? Getting told that they’re actually crap at the game (as everyone once was)? Getting removed from a raid team?
And, we were told “no” to “going back to Classic” and guess what? We can “go back to Classic”. Their answers are never indefinite. Things can always change.
Actually I’ve never once stated in this thread that ML should come back. The only things I’ve done here is push for what should be changed about PL after presenting the issues that come with it. Which uninformed individuals say, “LuL tHeRe ArEn’T aNy PrObLeMs”. Yes. Yes there are. If everyone payed attention to what happened at the beginning of BFA, yes. It was a problem.
And the community problem is that everyone wants to focus more on sticking it to one another instead of trying to find compromise.
Because their current design philosophy with tackling players to the ground and force feeding the game down their throats clearly isn’t working? And again, I believe the change was more geared towards the WF Raiders to slow down their split runs which who TF cares about them doing that?
How to you figure paid carry’s woud prefer ML? With the current system you can class stack and guarantee drops for someone. The people selling already have all the gear so the Ilvl restriction isn’t a problem.
The fact is ML just isn’t fair across the board. Not even the most positive of guild settings could exist without some form of friction between players not getting loot.
You cannot dictate how players will play or how they would feel when others get stronger because they’re buddy, buddies with the council or loot masters.
Dude you dont want to understand and all the other elitists arguing for it dont understand one simple thing you are prolly the 20-30% of the player base while the 70% suffer from it and you will never see it cause you will never leave that 30% bubble.
You call it optional but the Optional itself is the problem when 90% of the groups will be running it.
I disagree.
One side wants to have the choice to play how they want without changing how the other side plays.
The other side wants to force everyone to play like them.
This isn’t an even argument on both sides. Not even a little bit.
It’s one side trying to claim victim status while forcing thier ideas onto everyone at the same time…
