Bring back Mage Tower as a seasonal limited time event

Stop. Mage Tower isn’t coming back.

But all of this is irrelevant. Because again what it was advertised for was the current class design of Legion. Which is now gone. So now the challenge is different if it were to be reintroduced.

You don’t get to be the Gold Medalist of the USA Swim Team when Michael Phelps was there just because you earned one in 2019. You missed out. So instead of asking for old rewards to come back, players should be requesting for new ones so they have the opportunity to get their own personal exclusives.

It’s not coming back. And no amount of you feeling bad for other players is going to sway the decision and reasoning as to why it should stay in the past.

You keep focusing on other people. Other people has nothing to do with it. It has to do with us being told: “Complete X before time runs out, or it’s gone forever”. Thus, we sat there and wiped. And wiped. And wiped. Over and over. Some of us more than others, but we still put time and effort in, under the understanding that this would be going away.

I don’t care who has what. Bluster is someone I see / agree with on these forums a lot. She wears the same elite mog as I do sometimes, and when she does, I go: “MY TWIN! :O” That’s fun. It’s a sense of comradery, but it’s because we both completed something or fulfilled criteria when it mattered under the total knowledge of it’s not happening again.

I’ve already said that time-limited content is inherently the equivalent of a botched plastic surgery job. That seems like a problem to me. You just have lower standards.

That comparison is silly. Limited-time content is a feature that games like WoW put in place to draw a lot of attention to the game for FOMO.

It’s really not a silly comparison if they leave behind traces/scars/areas feel less full when something is removed. Again you just lack a concept of quality control and think Blizzards ugliness is acceptable.

But there’s nothing missing from the Legion environment or leveling because of the Mage Tower challenges being removed. The Mage Tower is still relevant. It’s used as a mage tower, like it was throughout that part of Legion. Therefore, still a silly comparison.

I don’t think you actually get what my metaphor is even refering to. :face_with_raised_eyebrow: Because it’s not just physical game space although that is a part of it cough MoP cough

Girl, I’m telling you, I get it; it just doesn’t make sense, because there’s no plot “scar” missing. It was a side-quest you could choose to pick up. Where is it? Point out the specific point in Legion leveling at which you feel or see an emptiness, because if you don’t have one, you’re just making up a false argument because you regret not getting the transmog.

Mate, I’ve already said my piece here. Up to what I think counts as a scar: Removed gameplay, removed plot, removed quests (side or otherwise), removed zones, things like “This skin is no longer available” instead of just removing that row entirely for people who don’t have those skins (They really should remove that row it’s an eyesore) and removed rewards without suitable replacements.

I don’t know how much clearer I can make this.

Okayyyy… so you do just regret not getting the transmog. Removing quests is non-consequential. If it’s no longer relevant, it negatively affects nothing to shelve it. The questing goes smoothly. You get to the Broken Shore, do its thing, Anduin finds his dad’s sword, you head to the raid, then you’re off to Argus. No harm, no foul. Not even you, so strongly insisting that there’s a “scar”, can actually point out a scar. No new player going through Legion will notice through that progression that those 3 quests aren’t there.

It’s a strange decision to leave the row, albeit. My theory is that the dev team wants to increase FOMO by showing players that they have missed/may miss out on cosmetics. I believe they’re doing this in order to increase hype for the upcoming Mage Tower-esque feature. I believe that’s also why they gave the Guardian appearance a dance at this particular time.

All for the FOMO. FOMO that you and a few others in this thread are proving very useful. They’re definitely going to use these threads as examples of the benefits of time-limited content.

Sparkle kitty out.

Good news. There are hundreds of transmogs in this game.

Nope. But obtaining them after the time limit would, as that would mean blizzard blatantly lied to it’s playerbase about content for over a year.

That’s a very reductive opinion. Honestly while I like Sparkle Kitty, if I just regretted not getting it I wouldn’t be advocating for major changes. I think you’ll find that ultimately…you just hate the idea of rewarding long term content and a compromise that actually enriches the game.

This will never happen. Blizzard cares too much about promoting FOMO to invalidate it by bringing the content back.

In order to get Blizzard to change this policy, you’d have to make the playerbase stop wanting limited time pixels. And because players overvalue video game ‘prestige’, it’s not something that you have any chance of changing.

I play World of Warcraft. Long-term content is all it is.

Bwahahahahahaha if you truly think that…it must be the only game you play.

Pretty much. This and HoTS. Why?

Welp, that explains it. I can’t argue with standards that low. peaces out

I play world of warcraft for what I like to imagine it could be…not for what it actually is.
