There are many reasons people may not have participated in the Mage Tower during its time. Maybe people were new and intimidated. Maybe they were bad at the game. Maybe they were ill and unable to play. Maybe they were not a WoW player at all.
Whatever the reasons may be, surely there are a great deal of players now who did not/were not able to acquire their Mage Tower artifact skin and want to now.
I propose we bring back Mage Tower as a periodic event. Maybe every 3-6 months, and maybe only for a weekend.
The only thing doing so would affect is allowing people who want to earn skins to have the opportunity to do so.
No bringing back limited time rewards that they advertised from the beginning as limited time. It’s the sole reason I and many other people put in a ton of work to get them, otherwise we could have just put the effort in at any other time.
I really want the gladiator mounts from the past, but I’ll never ever beg for them to be made available again. Challenge modes, mage tower, and gladiator should remain limited time, as those ones you genuinely had to work under a limited amount of time and gameplay to earn them. Not to mention–they were stated to be limited time from the start.
You don’t go to a sports competition and ask for the reward from last year.
If they haven’t brought back MoP challenge mode, then they’re def not bringing back legions.
Those armor sets were way cooler than these weapon skins anyways, don’t really see why anyone wants them that bad. Only cool one was the afflic warlocks
I don’t have a strong stance either way on this matter, and can see both sides, but I’m curious. What if they made it harder to unlock than it was when you did it? Like you got the easy way.
To anyone who gets annoyed at seeing this same subject brought up every other day or so, do what I did and get used to it. You might as well. You’re going to be seeing them for years and years to come.
Because they are never bringing the Mage Tower back.
Remove all the mounts from previous raids, along with all achievements that provide mounts because the level difference and class changes make those things a joke.
I don’t see MOP challenge armors or WoD challenge weapons coming back. They’re exclusive to the expansion. It’s a reward for being there and putting in effort.
Sorry but you don’t get everything you want. Real life isn’t always equal.
Don’t bring anything back then. They were exclusive to the expansion.
So, if you’re farming WotLK for a Shadowmourne? Remove it.
Same for Invincible’s reins.
Oh and Ashes of Alar.
Oh and any dungeon mounts, raid mounts, any mogs or anything else.
They were exclusive to the expansion.
its a reward for being there and putting in effort.
Sorry, but you don’t get-
Its a stupid statement to make that has no basis other than to portray your lack of tact.
I got both skins on this DH, the prot skin for warrior and that’s it. Do I regret not getting a few others now, yes. However I was enjoying doing other things than and that was the price.
I also do not support the removal of content but when it comes to time limited items I have to say, no, do not bring them back. It’s ok to have some items that say I played when the content was current never be available again.
Precisely this. If its so outlandish for people to earn these items while being limited to the difficulty of the original challenge, then we might as well remove all loot prior to the current expansion, right?
“Not there, no rewards” is a pathetic flex from people trying to bolster their egos.
My point is that the argument of “well its meant to be exclusive to that patch” can be applied anywhere. It is a bad argument to utilize.
On the other hand, when Blizzard states “we want this to be time limited”, then it is understandable.
The only issue with time limited items is that it makes it prohibitive to go back to that content. one of the issues Blizzard states they have is that for all the content in the game, most of it goes ignored.
On the other hand, they go out of their way to take such things which would make people want to do previous content, and remove it.
Furthermore, they make no attempt to try and implement a variance of this content. Such as mythic dungeon keys for that content through TWing.
