Bring back Mage Tower as a seasonal limited time event

If something being exclusive is the only reason you do it then thats your problem. Not Blizzards.

Them opening up the Mage Tower for players who didn’t get to do it the first time around would have literally no effect on people who already did it.

The whole reason people do things that are “time restricted” is because it is going away. Marketing campaigns exist around that concept. And yes it would affect everyone that did it, since the company from the MT launch said it was going away. It would be a blatant lie to everyone and affect everyone that actually worked to get it. The only people affected now are those that chose not to do it in the 15 months it was active

Except it would trivialize the reward. So it would have an effect on people who did it.

How would it tangibly affect anyone who already did it?

and I mean actually affect it not this imaginary illusion of exclusivity that you keep preaching. How does someone else getting to do something that you already did affect you negatively?

I can flip that question and ask how a transmog item affects you negatively.

They don’t affect me at all.

If the Mage tower came back I would not even be one of the people doing it. I just know that the Mage tower was extremely popular and I know that a lot of other people do want to do it and I’m not a selfish jerk so I don’t mind letting other people do that content.

Because it trivializes the effort they took, putting off other things to do the MT because they didn’t feel entitled to ask blizz to remove the time restraints, and knocked out the challenge. There is no illusion of exclusivity, the MT appearance can no longer be done, and even at higher ilevels if you didn’t do the challenge right, you could die easily to mechanics regardless of your ilevel. It shows your accomplishment and your willingness to do the event in the time it took place. Same as people who have the blizzcon pets from the first ones, etc. Time exclusive things have existed for a decade and a half, and each one gives accomplishment and pride to those that have it.

It’s already been explained in this thread so many times. Blizzard advertised these events as exclusive, time-based rewards. Participation trophies. For them to bring them back would cheapen the value of the “trophy.”

Many, many businesses do promotions like this.

Ya know, what’s funny to me is you guys keep screaming “what’s the big deal?!” So, what is the big deal? Why do we just have to get over it and you don’t? What makes you guys so special that Blizzard needs to break their promise?

If it’s for the sake of doing it then by golly I’d be fine with it. I’d only ask that people not demand for Blizzard to template or scale the challenge because I’d rather Blizz work on newer content instead of hotfixing old stuff. I’d also be okay with it as long as the xmog reward is pulled from it too.

But see, it isn’t being selfish by asking blizz to keep their word. It is wanting the company to keep their word period. We were told it was going away before it was implemented. We took the time to learn the instance, gear up, and banged our heads at it until we won, instead of raiding, etc. It isn’t our fault those that chose not to do it, chose not to do it. Now they live with the repercussions of their choices.

But that’s what I’m saying you already did it you already finished it you already did the effort to get the transmogs what do you care if someone else gets it as well and puts in the exact same effort that you did?

This just sounds like selfish elitism. This forget you I already got mine mentality is poisonous and is one of the worst aspects of the World of Warcraft community.

Oh so it is about the transmog. So again I ask the question. How does transmog affect your gameplay negatively?

Do you possess the ability to read?

No, it is saying I did what everyone else could have, within the time frame because Blizz told me it was going away. How is it my fault they chose not to do the same thing huh? Nothing stopped them but themselves.

Can you answer the question?

I already did that’s why I’m asking.

Oh so it is elitism then. Okay thanks for clearing that up.

Where? You never stated how transmog affects your gameplay negatively. Unless you mean the statement that…

…which then contradicts your stance. You asked why someone cared if another player put in the same effort and got the xmog and then followed it up by calling it “selfish elitism”. You’re trying to deny that it does affect you but call it toxic elitism that people aren’t agreeing with your stance to let others have it. Your story doesn’t add up

How is it elitism by saying keep something time exclusive that a company said was?
I still have plenty of apperances I didn’t get from the MT but im not crying on the forums for blizz to make an exception because of me and my inability to get those ones. I am not an entitled child though…

I said that they don’t affect me at all but at the same time I completely understand why other people would want them and I have no problem with blizzard making them available.

the only people who seem to care whether or not these things become available again or people like you who think you’re just better than everyone else because you did it the first time around and want to hold it above everyone’s head as if it’s some great accomplishment. It’s simple elitism.
