You mean a worthless trophy.
I empathize but Mage Tower rewards are not by any degree even the tip of the iceburg when it comes to timed exclusive content in WoW. There are pets, mounts and mogs out the a$$ that existed before but no longer are available now. Weâre soon going to lose access to the GD Brutosaur except when we maybe see it massively overpriced on the black market auction. WoW, whether you like it or not, has a lot of built-in status symbols people can acquire. I have a few of my own. I have a transmog set from the pre-WotLK event thatâs pretty sweet. I just got the AV mounts that wonât be available again after this yearâs WoW Anniversary. I donât know what to say other than you learn to not worry about what you canât get anymore and focus on what new timed exclusives you can get now.
Asking to do the challenge at the same level or even harder during a week or 2 once a year is highly respectful to those who got their skins. It keeps in mind the spirit of the challenge itself.
Where utterly refusing to share them at all is highly dis-respectful to all future players who wish to put in the work.
I donât think so. Every time I scored a challenge I stood by the tower and gave away my challenge specific flasks and foods and provided tips for a successful strat to people who were still trying and struggling. Most of the other people I know who completed them did the same thing. If you werenât here and you didnât see how people banded together as a community to help others finish, well⌠sorry you missed it.
No it doesnât. We were told itâs time sensitive. Saying: âOkay, I get it.â is respectful of oneâs challenge.
Challenge modes in MoP, WoD, the mage tower, and every season of PvP since Cata all disagree. Trophies are trophies. Would you go to a bowling alley, watch other people compete, and then say two years down the road: âHey, I know those trophies were given out as signs of prestige, but lemme take a crack. Or better yet, lemme give you twelve bucks for them.â
Asking Blizzard to constantly retune and redo challenges because people didnât do them in the allotted time we were told about is disrespectful to the company, and disrespectful to the players who saw that, understood it, went forth and achieved it.
Okay then by that logicâŚ
I wasnât here for Benediction and I want it to be obtainable again.
Umm but they would be allowed to win their own trophies. Thatâs what people are asking for. they are not out to steal your stuff. MY GOD!
And saying âhey Blizzard I really enjoyed the mage towers and I thought the art you added to the game was really nice, may I have the chance to earn them again?â Is NOT disrespectful in the least!
Wow man, You strike me as the type to flip out on people who whisper you if need that gear drop. How dare they be so disrespectful as to ask you for something, couldnât they tell my the fact you didnât offer it in chat!
Seriously!
Nah.
But there should definitely be this expansionâs version of something like that to offer people the opportunity to get limited time rewards for playing this dog crap expansion
They would be able to win their own trophies for that specific tournament. It would be a different trophy, corresponding to the same season of its release. Which is fine. Ask for new challenges and new rewards. Not the old one. Common sense.
We disagree. Youâre still asking a company to continue wasting time on challenges that were time sensitive.
Not at all. Those arenât time sensitive. More often than not, Iâm quite happy to pass on gear for my raiders.
Ok if they got in a actual time machine and re-did the challenge during legion would it be ok with you⌠or would they be cheating by using the time machine?
Read my text.
Time sensitive is time sensitive. There is no other way around it, there is no compromise and there is no reason for it to be brought back.
It means nothing in either direction. New challenges = new trophies. Not rehashing old trophies.
this expansion desperately needs some good looking mogs to go after id like to see something new though. im not a tough luck kid kinda guy so if they did bring it back it doesnt bother me to much i got the skins on my mains in legion but i wouldnât mind going back and taking a crack at some of the others. i do understand those that would want to keep them locked away forever from new players though tbh i rarely even see peeps running around with the artifacts in general
Nothing is fixed forever.
They said legendary items are not mog-able in past.
Many many items unobtainable are brought back.
Itâs not just that. Class tool kits change dramatically. This is specially true for legion seeing as the artifact played a dominant role in how classes worked in legion.
Mage tower is gone and should stay that way. It was up for over a year and at the end it was faceroll.
ITT: People who were bad and/or lazy now complaining how they want access to stuff that was advertised as being around for a limited time, despite the challenges being faceroll during AtBT/when the artifacts were overloaded.
As someone who got all 36 skins, it is your fault and your fault alone if you do not have them.
Like every 2 months leading up to the removal of the challenges, blues kept making posts warning all that they were going away. They said that they would not ever return due to the difficulty in balancing the challenges and the fact that it was not a good use of development time & resources to attempt it. They also mentioned that people should be ready for the upcoming challenges in what is the current xpac instead. Are you really showing them respect by making demands to resurrect content that could not be properly balanced or scaled? Are you showing current players respect with the inference that they shouldnât have an expac specific challenge to rise to?
Thereâs also people who werenât playing at the time. If it was already a faceroll when they were active then Iâm not sure what the problem is with bringing it back but ok. Iâd like to see more options like it at least. Especially things that give new druid forms, we have so few customization options.
i canât even figure out which side of the fence youâre on at this point.
youâre not making much sense.
others canât just âhave itâ.
it should mean something to you, because it means something to everyone else who understands the concept of legacy feats.
the fact that itâs legacy, means itâs gone.
The issue with bringing it back is the fact that it was advertised as a limited time event, regardless of how much of a challenge it was at the end of the expansion. They shouldnât bring back limited time events, period, to appease either people who werenât playing the game at the time or people who were too lazy/bad to do the challenges. End of story.
Nope. You had a year and a half between 7.2 and BfA prepatch to complete Mage Tower. The whole point was have spec challenges on Legionâs terms. If you didnât get the skins you wanted in that year and a half long period, too bad.
