However I’m just using that as an opportunity to try something new and fresh. I had already done every imaginable thing on that character, and while revisiting it as an alt in the future is definitely something that would have happened if I’d remembered to clone it, I think I’ll be much better off just starting F R E S H again as a class I have a lot less experience with and just learning the ins and outs of something new.

ikr some crazy logic there. Lets sell clones when the servers are dead and its unappealing to play. Lets make them unavailable when they get popular and people would actually pay for them.

Yep, I didnt log into my clone due to continuing to play classic TBC with my guild that had been raiding since classic Molten Core.
Come Wraith I stopped.
Come now, I try to look at my clone…

I just re-subbed. My toons are on Benediction from 2019, I paid for the clone back in the day to one day return, that time is now but the server and joined servers are dead.

I didn’t know you could not get an era transfer, I tried to buy two of them only to discover the transfers are for wrath ONLY. I had to refund the wrong transfers.

Now I still have the itch and want to return to era so I looked up populated servers on a pve realm and settled on making a new toon on Mankirk. Problem is I feel like I’m not going to last long without my 2x toons that are on the ghost town that is Benediction.

So uh, that brings us to the here and now.
Open era transfers pretty pretty please with a cherry on top. It makes money for blizz, too!
I mean you could just group together all the pvp, pve, rp on three different servers because that’s the real awesome solution, blizz would loose out on money though. But, I’d settle for paying AGAIN (remember, I paid to keep them in era for now seemingly no reason) to have people to play with on my old 2019 toons.

I would buy them if I could, but frankly they should have been free and blizzard should have automatically cloned every single character onto both. That’s how a company that values and caters to their customers would act.

I thought you could buy both? Era and Wrath. One has a multiple deal and the other doesn’t.

From the very start of Cloning I agree but after it started, no way. The uproar when those who paid find out that it has become free would be deafening.

Cloning will reduce RMT… the whole reason people invest USD is to keep up with the wall that top tier guilds that did clone put into place.

if I had known that classic era servers would be poppin, there’s no way in hell I would have let them get xfered to tbc without cloning.
I main rogue, got rank 12 and full MC tier 1 bis with predators dagger, oh and renatakis charm trinket. There’s absolutely no way I would redo all that over again. There were days were raiding was such a drag. Also, the countless days farming 5k to get the 100% speed mount took me a lot of mining nodes. Just thinking about it again makes my heart and head hurt.
We should all be afforded the opportunity to restore our clones, there has had to be a snapshot or something of when they xfered to tbc.
Unfortunately, it’s difficult to gauge whether this would happen or not, simply because Legion Artifact MT skins have been asked for years by the community to be brought back and blizz won’t budge.

PS i didnt clone, didnt expect classic to be popular, chars are gone. First couple posts in 15 years of playing the game on the forum and here we are.

I do wonder why they haven’t addressed any of these threads the past year. If they didn’t have the data anywhere at all they could tell us so people would stop making them. That they haven’t leads me to believe they’re holding onto it somewhere for some reason.
