Alliance is so much stronger than the Horde in lore. Horde acts like an angry chihuahua and starts something, ally’s smash but don’t finish the job. Aren’t you sick of that cycle?
Blizz refuses to commit to the Horde being evil while also not creating grey characters in the alliance that might orchestrate a faction war. It’s just so tired at this point.
If anything, delete factions or add a 3rd to create real tension.
Russia is at war with Ukraine and justifies it with crap that happened in the 1300s. Gypsies and Jews are still hated across Eurasia.
Oh man, you should really review what people in East Asia think of the Japanese. Germany and France were basically at each other’s throats since the fall of Rome.
This is a very American perspective. People came here to escape those factional enmities that’s why it feels that way to you. I’m not saying it is bad that you feel this way, it would be better of more did. But it is ignorant of facts. It is in fact very normal for enmities to last centuries if not millennia.
No thank you, it’s the best thing that’s happen for me lol, I love dwarves but my friends are horde, and honestly, I wouldn’t even care if the game had zero story
Dark Irons should have been a Horde race. Blizzard’s screwed the pooch from the beginning on this with their catering to the Alliance, no question. But it needs to get fixed.
Exactly this. I also feel like we got a nod to the idea in the Time Rifts with that ‘Warlands’ place. The readable journal that we find there as a quest item describes a world where they just go back to war over and over and over again; and the author himself sounded on the unhinged side as well.
Yeah, Cross faction is great ^.^ pretty much the best decision they’ve made in years. I still enjoy running into hordies in my runs, and hope they can eventually make it so we can que heroics too. I have a feeling that letting everyone que together in Remix may have been testing that.
I rather like the idea of a band of “heroes” who aren’t completely in good graces with their own faction, because they work with a small band of heroes from the other faction. Seems more realistic.
Wasn’t a fan of Garrosh, but I do miss the Horde v. Alliance aspect of the game. Just wish the truces and breaking of said truces weren’t so hamfisted.
Current writers have moved the game far from Horde vs. Alliance and “war” in general.
Authority bad. Capitalism bad. Kings and Warchiefs bad. Good and Evil gods are both equally bad. Every faction gets led by a toothless figurehead or the equivalent of your local school board.
It’s like the creative directors got whiplash from the response to the conclusion of BFA, and now refuse to give the game any edge. Story has been completely watered down. You can predict every outcome by just asking yourself: “what is the most obnoxiously inoffensive way of resolving this plot line?”
Garrosh had the right idea? Bro, Sargeras had the right idea.
I’d be GLAD to see someone push Azeroth off the mortal coil already. At least that would give the story some actual novelty.
Do people who feel this strongly also have Coca-cola tattoos? Insist on vanilla ice cream and decry Neopolitan as the downfall of the freezer aisle? Why is this fictional product identity purism less weird.
Does anyone break off friendships with someone who drives a Chev- oh wait that actually happens doesn’t it. But devout product loyalty is still weird.
