why not make something alas wildstar in regard of dungeons

They had something like bronze- defeat the last boss, silver- defeat the last boss in the timer, gold- defeat all the bosses and do the secondary objetives (not always bosses but sometimes elites, sometimes grab something, sometimes perform a ritual or deviate from the route to do something).

also every boss had a hardmode that could be triggered (like ulduar) and improved the loot and its quantity.

With better rank came better and more loot, everytime was diferent. add that to dungeons and we will see some improvement.

Didn’t bother with Wildstar, but that system you describe sounds brilliant. As long as gold mode had a few other things besides 'beat a timer".

Necroing is still necroing and against the TOS,Blizz really should start locking threads that have been inactive for at least over a month.

I feel like this thread is still relevant.

It’s not. Dungeons have always been irrelevant the moment raids are out. At least mythic+ makes them relevant again.

The last few xpacs they have released mega dungeons for this purpose. I would expect one in shadowlands.

Why not do this to world content too? Maybe it is okay that dungeons are less relevant as the expansion progresses.

M+ is hugely popular I thought. I love it. But a no timer option could be added. If you opted for the no timer option, maybe you could just do the dungeon and not have your new key upgraded or something vs. having a timer, like now, which either gets you a new upgraded key or your key downgraded if you timed or didnt time like now.

I’m really turned off by the speed run meta perpetuated by the community and Blizzards design decisions. AoE and non-tank defensive cool downs should be nerfed to the ground so that tactical dungeons could be possible again. Sorry but spamming AoE in a +15 doesn’t make you skilled.

What does make you skilled? Going as slow as molasses and puling one mob at a time while you cc the other mob? Then you spam 2 to 3 buttons and then drink. Then do it all over again?

Coordinating CC, kill orders, peeling threat from healers, actually having to manage mana, distracting shot juggling free mobs, fear juggling, threat management. Hell a Hunter kiting Drak in UBRS in Vanilla took more skill than anything in a +15 does today. Healing heroic dungeon bosses in early Cata also took far more skill than healing a +15.

I bet you also think Ragnaros is pretty hardcore too, huh?

Sure prenerf Rag with the sons bug with a raid where the average ping was 400+ms and everyone was running Pentium 4s or very early dual cores.

Heroic cata dungeons at launch were harder than the face roll easy time of Wrath dungeons and required a couple brain cells, but to say a +15 is easier is flat ridiculous.
