Similar quality, or at least good enough. You’d need to collect enough of them to buy a piece so it was more of a time commitment because you had to run a bunch of them to get enough to buy a piece. But you could CHOOSE the piece you needed. Can’t get that trinket or shield to drop? Run heroics to farm the badges and buy it.

It’s terrible logic. Cata and BC heroics weren’t hard, they just took forever because you had to CC every mob. You can choose to do that in m+ if you want to but unless you are running a super high key it’s not necessary.

Yes. HAD TO. That’s the point. If you didn’t control the fights, you wiped. You didn’t just #yolo into literally every single pack or multiple packs and spam aoe with your perfectly constructed group of current FotM M+ specs.

You had to CC every mob because tanks could only hold aggro on one at a time and didn’t have mobility to kite them. They usually didn’t do anything but auto attack

5 mans have boss encounters as well you know. You can’t trivialize them, and plenty had mechanics you had to do.

you use CC in mythic + at high keys

now maybe you can only get to a +3 and that’s a shame but i just ran a 14 siege and we used a lot of CC.

5 man boss mechanics are trivial compared to raids. You will never see a complicated 5 man boss

That’s just not true? Viq’goth is a substantially more complex fight then fetid for example. They do tend to have a less mechanics, but in terms of mechanics any one individual needs to be worried about and the punishments for any one individual failing them, a 5man boss can be more or less difficult than a raid.

There isn’t anything magical about the number of players involved that makes something difficult. Mage tower was single player and that was pretty difficult.

5 mans don’t get complicated mechanics, they get multiple 1 shot mechanics per encounter.

that’s what makes the bosses hard.

So basically by your logic, the dungeons now haven’t gotten any easier and… M+ isn’t hard either, and nothing ever is hard because X and Y.
What even.

Funny note Bobby, you didn’t run BC heroics when they were current. Since you want to call me ‘bad’ and that I don’t do M+.

Basically what I’m getting from this whole thing is, “Get rid of the timer”.

To be honest, the timer is what makes these dungeons hard. Finding the right paths, the right amount of mobs to kill, abd handling mechanics like the affixes.

I mean you can still do high keys and screw the timer so you just have to deal with the affixes and higher damage and hp pools. However, by doing this you get lower IO scores (not important if you don’t push) and you lower your chance of getting gear. Better times increases the chance for drops.

I still to this day don’t understand the animosity toward M+. If you don’t want to do hard content, then you don’t need the gear. It’s the way MMO’s work. Do hard content and you get high quality gear. You have the options and ability to get heroic geared out without even stepping foot in a mythic +.

Mythic quality gear should be prestigious. Sorry.
