Brazilians

You misunderstood, Spanish speakers get their own server(s), and Portugese speaking players get their own server(s). I’m sorry that wasn’t made more clear. I’ll edit my post.

I agree, if after launch and the inevitable leveling off of the playerbase it becomes an issue then yes Blizzard should make servers with those language packs (which may be more work than it seems as those language packs are not tiny and are currently coded for Retail WoW not classic as they didn’t exist in Classic) active. If it ends up being (what I believe it will be) a non-issue then leave it as is.

This.

Ragnaros is a Spanish Latam Server. Not Portuguese.

If they ever do that, they better make a french server as well… been waiting for so long.

people framing this as “they should be allowed to play on any server they want” are missing the point, of course they should be allowed to do that, and will be. but I am sure the majority of them wish they could have a labelled server to congregate on to find each other.

Which is why people shouldn’t even be thinking about this without looking at the numbers.

Lets also not forget that many Brazilian players who aren’t tapped into the facebook groups or discords or any other social media don’t know that there is an “unoffical” Brazilian server, and they just go to a random server and can’t communicate with anyone? Those people will not have a good time in classic. Having a clearly identified set of servers for Spanish and Portuguese might be the best option for all groups.

I tend to agree LA needs at least 1 server to their own. Hosted in US (since their Retail ones are ayway) but they need to be separated.

No, they don’t actually.

Well … I’m from Brazil but … I need to say:
Stay away from brazilians ppl
why? Let me tell u something: 90% of brazillian ppl start playing in cataclysm, can u imagine a guy who never played in classic trying to kill hogger alone? In 2 or 3 months the servers will be totally DEAD! Classic is too hard for most ppl
Plus: All the brazilian retail server have a broken economy, some ppl don’t know how to read properly, imagine basic math… And this explaine the undercuts in auction house, some undercuts of 90% of the price

It’s not like we don’t want that, we have been trying to get brazilian hosted retail servers with low latency for years and years, there were lots of threads asking that but Blizzard ignored us. At this point It was kinda expected they would just do the same all over again, if they did that when the game was at their prime, imagine now with Activision farting all over cause of low numbers of BfA…

If you ask me, I bet a lot of those Brazilians will drop from Classic in some months (just like the general population), they will not be a significant number as most expected they would be. WoW is far from being a popular game here, and Classic will follow as well. Most of those guys who “claimed” this server to Brazilians, those guys that said they have 3000 ppl following them are like nobodys in our community, they have as credibility as Random Joe LFR Hero.

Looking at their forums, they have several polls which result to less than 2k people (that have voted) for their server of choice; where they’ll migrate to come launch.

Are we really upset that 1% of the population of our servers will be SP/BR?

Actually Orcs are from a different planet so yes they are technically aliens on Azeroth.
