That’s actually a good point. Brazil player communications will have to go through the NAP of the Americas in Miami. Anything having to be ingested through such a single major hub I think would warrant consideration (especially given Brazil’s population and unique language).
This is about the same level of interaction you have with players in an LFD dungeon. LFD is considered one of the worst mistakes ever made in WoW because of the damage it did to the community. Why would you want this in Classic?
While I feel for you. I would rather play with non English speakers rather than play on empty servers. I imagine Brazilians are used to playing with english speakers on many games.
If Only we could get Russians to stay away but its a big game and room for everyone.
Brazilians speak Portuguese.
The retail brazilians servers are located in US, same with spanish.
That’s also a great point. Brazil has a wonderfully unique language. They really shouldn’t be forced to speak ours. Give them their own realms so that they can communicate better when playing. I love Brazilians and want what’s best for them.
Seems like you’d rather dodge the OP and throw whatever you can out the window to make it as if you really want them to have their own.
Thus, as what has been stated. Their data servers are located in NA anyways. No sense in making another.
If the Brazilians willingly already migrate to NA high populated servers, I don’t see what will make them want to stay in their low populated servers.
Because U the toon become the communication.
Why do you need more than; follow the rules of the game?
i have seen Chin… in chat and looked at what they were doing in game and there was the answer i was missing. We did that and we won.
I have no idea what they said , but understood what they wanted.
edited after…
I understand the wanting to have a server that only speaks one tongue. I respect that it would be both good and bad. If its just a equipment sight, look into renting one and ask isp to point to it? IDK I might be way off on how its done. Server to Server link VPN.
I’m more of a landing strip type of guy
Actually, Ragnaros is a great realm. That same success should be repeated for Classic.
Russians have their own realms, give Brazilians their own realms, too.
Just the other day I had a great conversation with a Brazilian using nothing more than google translate. It was a very positive experience.
The world (of warcraft) would be a much better place if everyone just tried a little harder to be inclusive instead of looking for every excuse they can to ostracize anyone that doesn’t fit their preconceived notions of what other players should be.
Google translate too op? :X Can’t we all be friends and play together?
Xjum is absolutely right. LATAM deserve their own server, the Germans, French, and Russians got their own language specific servers. Why can’t the Spanish and Portuguese speaking player base have their own language specific servers? Classic WoW is about communicating with friends, there aren’t tools where you click a button and you’re in preformed group ready to tackle UBRS or a nerfed version of a Raid. You have to communicate with the playerbase, and with a language barrier that completely undermines one of the core components that makes the older versions of WoW such a fantastic game, the interactions with people.
Stop trying to derail a thread that is obviously not about racism or xenophobia.
Their community already chose the unofficial portuguese/spanish servers right? Its Mankrik for PvE and I forgot the other, but its a PVP EST server.
Having a relatively small group of people, most of whom can speak English, will destroy the ability of the server to communicate?
Can’t we all be friends and play together?
Apparently not.
Actually, Ragnaros is a great realm. That same success should be repeated for Classic.
Ragnaros is sitting at roughly 10k players seen in the last 30 days. My home server has about 27k seen.
It’s not doing as well as you claim.
The world (of warcraft) would be a much better place if everyone just tried a little harder to be inclusive instead of looking for every excuse they can to ostracize anyone that doesn’t fit their preconceived notions of what other players should be.
can I like this more than once ? no

If it isn’t then why are you trying to shove people that speak Spanish and those that speak Portuguese onto the same server? How is that any better than mixing with the English speakers? Why isn’t anyone campaigning for French Canadian servers?
If there is enough demand to support any of those languages on their own server, then I am all for it. However, I don’t want to see people shoved on to low pop ghost towns because it’s inconvenient for English speakers to share the same game world with them.
LATAM deserve their own server
Yes we deserve it. But we dont have enough people.
Why can’t the Spanish and Portuguese speaking player base have their own server?
Again… Blizzard can waste their time making another server but…
If the Brazilians willingly already migrate to NA high populated servers, I don’t see what will make them want to stay in their low populated servers.
