True. I mean i dont see the point of a SA america server located in NA too, might aswell stick where you are since you would need to speak english regardless of that or dont want to hear jajajajajaj/hueheuheue all day.

The best thing about BRâs is that they are the purging tool for everything bad in any server, in this case toxic dump that thalnos became.
now the server is going back to Vanilla Warsong Status.

Why are yall so mad? They literally said the server is for both portugese and spanish speakers. If you want to speak english and port or english and spanish then you can just do that.
The reason this server exists is because it was asked for, now that they give you an offer its not enough? Jeez.

A lot of ignorance in this thread. Regardless of wether the languages are âsomewhat similarâ or not, if youâre not fluent in a language I could see how playing on a server where half the community uses said language could get frustrating.
I for one wouldnât want to play on a server where I only knew what was being talked about half the time. My gameplay would be greatly diminished. My wifeâs Hispanic and speaks Spanish. I know some phrases and some words, but if I had to play on a server where half the trade chat was in Spanish I probably wouldnât play.
What are you talking about, they share a common language in English if they have been playing successfully on NA servers.

This is so true. I am Brazilian and on the second day of Classic I played with an argentine for some quests. We talked a lot, really great guy, but we only talked in English.

No, English and German are far more distinct due to the all the invasions and borrowing that has happened over the years. Itâs a common phenomenon on âislandsâ for one variant to become quite different. Happens even within the same language. In contrast, Spanish and Portugeese come from the same gropgraphical region and broke apart much later than English and German did.
Itâs really not a fair comparison. Norwegian and Sweedish would be better.
Thought you were trolling in the first post. So, youâre arguing with a Brazilian about whether they can read and understand another language, because someone else told you something.

i was on shadowmoon in retail, and ragnaros players get a lot of flak. But this is mostly because you get mid level players who donât all speak english doing their own agenda in a battlegroup made up of people who only speak english. this means that you stick out like a soar thumb on every misstep and everyone notices stupid minor stuff. Basically making you the default scapegoat.
Iâm not adverse to playing with people from brazil, but I think most people want to be able to speak their primary tongue with the population on their server.
just as I wind up speaking english on other servers in other games, I donât fault anyone. but the circumstance itself is annoying at best since it does bring issues when people in a game revolving around community donât speak the same language.
you guys deserve the option, brazil is a big pop of players, you have a distinct community, and you have a primary language that isnât shared by most of your geographic neighbors.

spanish and portuguese are both romance languages and share functional similarities as result, same as french and italian - though spanish and portuguese share the most similarities. if you are regularly exposed to both its pretty easy to pick up on. gendered nouns, conjugations share the same delineations and logic systems. most of the differences are in pronunciation, which is irrelevant over text.
if mixing portuguese and english speaking players on the same servers if acceptable to you, then spanish and portuguese on the same servers shouldnt be an issue to you.
You could seriously just write the portugeese and the spanish speakers will understand.
English: Kill the mage
Spanish: Mata el mago
Portuguese: mate o mago
You can communicate just fine.
If you want to be able to speak Portuguese and speak with other people from Brasil, make your own guild and put out announcements.
Itâs no different than people in Europe, nor French Canadians in Quebec who donât speak English. They will often post in French and make their own guilds for French Canadians.
You need to take the initiative, like other language groups, to fix your own problems because Blizzard wont, and your own server wouldnât work.

What makes the people of Brazil more deserving of their own server than people in the Netherlands or in Denmark?
-They have large populations
-They have distinct communities
-They speak a language that is different from their neighbours

I havent seen problems with mix all cultures in Us Realms, open a new latin realm hosted in UsA make no sense, they re just putting a âplaypenâ on us;
If we can talk portuguese and spanish we could talk english too
