Boycott ... Warmode?

Yes, that’s how it works. Next time it resets the Horde would have the same bonus that Alliance is currently getting.

You should ask that massive amount of Horde players why they have WM on! Or did you not notice them? I sure the hell did when they ran me over! And you can call me whatever you like. But I’m not the one here crying. The Horde mob wanted Alliance to kill so Blizz gave us a reason to come out. Now you’re mad because we have that reason and won’t lay down for you. You don’t want to participate, then don’t. You turn WM on don’t die! It’s as simple as that. Take away the Alliance incentive to turn it on. No Alliance turns it on and the Horde are back here crying about Alliance not turning it on. Blizzard just can’t win with you.

Considering that the bonus still favors alliance I’m quite certain more alliance are boycotting it than horde are.

It only resets on Tuesday.

It sure does but this topic appears like once a week and it didn’t change last week or the week before that. What makes it different now? I had to check myself on an alliance character with war mode on and people were complaining about horde zergs rolling over everyone. I’m sure it depends on the server(crz).

My point is that this forum and the people using it are in quite the minority and does not reflect the actual game.

Working as intented. Alliance figured it wasn’t worth 10% when they were so heavily outnumbered either.

If Alliance has gone back to hiding then that should be yet another clue as to why this isn’t working the way it should be.

You can’t give someone a reward for being outnumbered the previous week, when they only want to participate for 20 minutes to obtain the reward you’re giving them for not playing.

Meh. I turn it on when I’m in the mood otherwise it’s always off. I would recommend spamming mythic + dungeons for a chance of a 400+ piece to drop. Got one after my 3-5 mythic + in a row. With my guildmates on my main. We basically just doing hordes of mythic + to help each other.

Especially now with the ilvl increases on things.

You are the problem with WM. The bonus is not meant to be a bonus it’s just a little extra to help counteract the time spent dead.

When there where shard issues that made a ton of Alliance quit WM it’s was PvE players that just wanted the bonus without fighting that ruined the balance and caused Blizz to do something drastic.

This is the problem. The Bonus was supposed to be meant for players who like World PVP to not feel as punished for doing stuff out in the world while flagged. If you’re just in it for the Bonus you’re the wrong audience.

Ion plays a Horde Sham with WM on. Most of the current Devs we know about all play Horde.

I did not read the rest of your post because it’s one giant block of words.

Ion himself stated the reasoning for this WM quest, if you don’t like WPVP turn WM off that is the whole reason for the quest. He wants Alliance to hunt down Horde so all the scrubs that abused the free 10% loot leave WM.

As soon as all of the people crying on the forums that don’t really care about WPVP turn it off Alliance lose the quest and most of the buff and it goes back to normal.

That’s the problem, I’m only in Warmode for the bonus, having the bonus at all will always draw in the wrong audience. There shouldn’t be a bonus, and PvP talents should be baked in where they make sense.

The alliance got a 385 emissary quest the other night. The horde not so much.

The Bonus is only a problem if there’s no risk. That wasn’t the case for the past 6 months.

In a perfect world with balanced numbers for both sides in each zone the 10% will likely only entice those who really enjoy World PVP.

And once there is not quest then no alliance will be in warmode and the quest will go back to the alliance since most of them are in it just for the quest to begin with.

Only if they’re dumb. Alliance get a raid together. Go to a shard. Then split off into 5 man groups. As long as they don’t leave the area or join a different group they won’t be sharded away. Thus 40 Alliance camping a world quest, “more often 20-30 honestly>”

But if the goal is to entice fans of World PvP alone, why have the bonus at all? It’s just drawing in mainly large PvE players who really just want the bonus rather than the PvP.

Sure that could happen, and?

You seem to think the gear from the quest is super good. The only problem here was that the quest gave 400 gear this early in the season.

A month or two from now and 400 gear will be the average. We already get 385 from emissary quests and both factions get a 400 from the Warfront. Then there is the world boss that has more 400 drops we can get.

People don’t do this, at least not on a large scale. From what I have seen when I fly into a new zone is people asking for an invite to a Horde slayer party, over time a few will form and then whenever there is a large number of Horde around someone calls it out in the general chat and everyone charges over there.

The real problem is that most Horde leaves the zone rather than form their own groups to fight the Alliance these days. A few weeks ago what would happen is that the Horde stick around and form their own raid to slaughter the Alliance party’s then the Alliance forms their own raid even though they can’t finish the quest and we have some nice WPVP.

There needs to be something to offset the inefficiencies and it’s just 10%. That’s not game breaking.

If players were at constant risk of attack I doubt any but the most hardcore World PVP’ers would be flagging. Without risk it’s a no brainer to flag. Blizzard wants players to think about the risks.
