So, If all the Horde suddenly vanished from WarMode, would the bonus incentive switch to 30/10 in Horde’s favour?

Currently, for the Warmode I enter anyway, it is flooded with packs of Alliance. There’s more Alliance by far on Warmode than Horde, and it’s a real struggle to complete some World Quests, particularly those that both Horde and Alliance share (Champions of Azeroth, Tortollan Seekers)

I don’t like complaining and whinging, but I seem to be doing it alot right now.

Personally, I don’t see a balance ever occurring in Warmode. During the Q&A earlier this week, it was mentioned that possibly, as early as next week, the Alliance bonus will be dropping to 25%, yes only 5%.

But when Horde start dropping out of Warmode, which I know alot of people on my server already had, as a 10% is no incentive to be constantly ganked and have no back up, as players just moan in general chat and don’t fix the problem with some hand to hand. Does that mean Horde will soon get the 30% and Alliance drop back to 10%, which would then cause Alliance to drop from Warmode.

There’s no winning, with these bonus percentages.

Oh and now the Alliance have a quest to kill 30 Horde which in return gives them a piece of 400iLvl gear, which they even said in the Q&A was a bad decision and should of been 385. Even then, what does Horde get? 1000 AP.

Myself I could care less. I never Wpvp. Fact is I am pissed that people get any type of bonus for Wpvp. Which is not fair to us strict Pvers. WoW has never been a true pvp game.

I really don’t see that small bit of extra AP or tiny bit of gold being worth all the hassle.

Seems like you could just get more AP and Gold from the time you’re not spending being camped or writing forum posts about how you dislike it.

I want the bonus, even though 10% is pathetic.

But currently I can’t even get that, because I get ganged on by 20+ Alliance, because they’re all in Warmode, as they get 30% extra and the Horde numbers are dwindling on Warmode so there’s barely any resistance.

I’ve been on a PvP server since I started wow all the way back in BC. We said it when warmode was proposed that the 10% should not and never be an incentive to put warmode on. Blizz said it was just for compensation for the time spent pvping instead of completing the objective an as both sides had it, it was fair.

Ok then… then because of warmode imbalance - otherwise known as failure regarding sharding as sharding was supposed to keep the factions more or less balanced.

Now one faction gets massive PvE related bonuses (AP bonus alone is massive) and gear that is equivalent to the new HEROIC level raid - that pushes it way over the line to ridiculous.

Any PvP related activities should reward PvP rewards, not PvE ones.

on top of there not being a lot of horde the 40 man gank squads of ally doing their wq’s is stupid blizz can say that you cant do the quest in more then a 5 man group but I have watched so many twitch ally streamers start 40 mans just to run the dailies

You say that, but most other replies are giving legit reasons as to why a Horde boycott is not a bad idea.

Personally, I think now that Warmode is a bad idea in the first place, the incentives are never going to be balanced, because either Horde or Alliance are going to complain about the issue.

I play Horde on NA and Alliance on EU, so I’m not majorally biased in favour of one faction or the other.

But whilst I play on Horde, I really don’t enjoy Warmode. There’s no incentive to play, when I get ganged by massive packs of Alliance AND only have 10% bonus and no free 400iLvl Gear.

My guild managed to clear 3/9 Heroic BoD this week, I luckily got 2 pieces of 400iLvl gear, but I had to work for it. I didn’t group with 39 other players and go massacre the opposing faction.

I like the idea of Warmode, but I hate how it works currently, because it doesn’t work, it never really worked. At launched, Horde bum rushed Alliance, now, Alliance are bum rushing Horde. There’s no balancing Warmode, and Alliance are not going to stand up and say anything whilst they have Blizzard’s favour.

From what I have seen Horde are doing just fine. Saw many servers merged with mine, joined groups that were on other servers, and there was only one “camp spot” during that time. Considering the Alliance are limited to 5 people if they are doing the quest while Horde can gather as many people as they want, I think these claims based on my experience are probably on the dramatic side. Just another perspective.

I’ve been “boycotting” warmode since the expansion began. Well, I guess “boycotting” is not exactly a synonym for “not caring enough to bother”.

They need to remove the bonuses and incentives entirely, they said the 10% was there for the trouble of dealing with other players. If you had trouble dealing with World PvP maybe the correct choice would be to turn it off?

There wouldn’t be a problem if there was just no bonuses for being in War Mode

To remove the bonuses is the most logical thing to do IMO

Idk I was jumped by a huge horde pack twice yesterday on wq.

If I didnt have warmode on I would lose 7
65% damage to my main spell.
