Bots Now Mass-Banning Players:

Yep, the bots are now mass-reporting folks and getting them auto-vacations for killing them in PVP and going in to interrupt their farms.

Good job, Classic Team.

We always knew they would eventually fight back.

This is 100% false. You can not get banned from mass reporting, you can only get chat banned from mass reporting.

Based on what evidence? There is another thread of someone saying the exact same thing; they got suspended for 48 hours because they were mass reported by a WSG team.

We’ve literally seen Streamers get mass-reported and get a 2 day immediately on live-stream.

Enough reports in a short period will get an auto-penalty that has to be appealed. When they appealed, it was outright confirmed that they were banned in error. Yes. “Error”.

These are also streamers. Most normal people don’t actually get a live person telling them anything, they get an automated response confirming the suspension apparently. More preferential treatment for the people who make Blizzard money… not surprised.

More people need to attack and kill bots, and more people need to go to Reddit and wherever else to complain about it, because it’s the only way Blizzard actually does anything. Enough outrage is the only time Blizzard cares.

Alright, so.

Do what I did when this started. Get a mass raid-group and mass-report bots. You will see them bloop off in real-time. There’s no GM behind it. Lol.

And also this.

To clarify: I forget which streamer it was… either Staysafe or Asmon gathered multiple raids to field test the mass report system. He had multiple raids report spamming him and he did immediately get chat banned, but that was the extent.

fake edit: I looked it up.

Uh, yeah. See a few weeks ago, we found out you can now get actually banned, rather than silenced and squelched.

Once more because enough people reported Asmongold as well.

Also because if you form a raid-group and mass report bots? They don’t log back on.

Just make the bots unassuming ally’s and help yourself to the loots… :man_shrugging:t2:

Perhaps I will be proven wrong, but I can’t help point out how hilarious it is that the community pretty much unanimously agrees that reporting bots does nothing but also thinks that if the bots report you that you will get autobanned.

They go off on number of reports received and how quickly. Several tests have been done to figure this out.

Well he got a silence because of abusive chat. Other report functions probably have different punishments. Inappropriate name might be a suspension until it is changed. Which does make a fair bit of sense. You can stop someone from talking in the game to solve the problem of abusive chat. You can’t get your name changed probably until someone reviews it and enables the change, in which case getting reported for it and silenced wouldn’t seem to matter because you’re still in the game being “offensive”. The name change would have to go through before you’re “fixed”, hence the 2 day suspension, probably until someone can look at it to verify it.

They report you for gameplay sabotage and cheating or botting, ironically.

This is true. There’s a certain MAGA guild on my server that’s always ragging on democrats/Biden/etc. As soon as someone tries to do the same about republicans/Trump, they collectively mass-report them and get your account silenced for 7 days.

Mass reporting seems to have no need for a reason, all Blizzard looks at is the number of reports, not why the person was reported or under what context. The only thing that seems to matter is which person gets reported the most, even if the people doing the reporting are doing the same thing.

Incorrect.

It’s automatic.

Exhibit A:

That was at least his second violation then, more likely his third.

Possibly, but still relevant. He’s getting mass reported by people for whatever reason and getting a suspension for it… no matter how you look at it, it’s still bad. You could be wrongly reported multiple times and the punishment gets worse.

They also said it was the second time it happened in WSG while he was carrying the flag. Possibly by the same group of people?
