Bots Now Mass-Banning Players:

Ok? Am I supposed to take your word for it, or his? You’re both random people on the WoW forum. Seems rather pretentious for you to assume you’re more trustworthy.

The Robot Revolution has begun.

Skynet beckons. Who would’ve thought that the first world to fall would be Azeroth.

Yes, you are supposed to take my word that I doubt they’re telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Whatever you say.

Cui bono?

blizzard’s no-human-oversight system of suspensions, banning, name changes, etc. is the most ridiculously toxic thing they’ve ever done

It’s like Skynet.

They have become self-aware.

The biggest bot on the market has a addon function that if a player is nearby, it invites them to a group. If the player accepts, they can no longer report for hacking/botting, only for communication.

So if you get a random invite while running up to somebody or nearby them, its likely a bot with this addon. It’s one of the many added features they have. This is for open world quest/farming etc. In BGs you have all options regardless of grp.

The people that create and manage these bot softwares are pretty smart.

For some reason if you are in the open world and join somebodies group, the hack/bot option of reporting goes away, only the communication remains. This allows the bots to get silenced instead of banned right away. Being silenced doesn’t harm a bot at all. Since most people by then when they realize they got invited by a bot, have no option but to report for communication/advertising.

How do we know that this isn’t a psy op created by bot owners to try and scare players into not reporting them? xD

Good question. Honestly, I’m skeptical that people are being suspended due to mass reports. It’s kind of common sense that this would be an easily exploitable tactic. As much as Blizzard leans on automated systems for enforcing rules, there’s no way people are getting suspended or banned for this.

The bots on Shadowstrike AU will start putting messages into general chat threatening to mass report you if you start farming them

Damn the bots are evolving !

Any evidence of this? Pictures, videos, et cetera?

I’ll let you know in a day or two. I’ve been disrupting them with trade spams, duel spams and sniping their targets before they can hit.

Nah man, just trust the reddit post :sunglasses:

good job aggrend. you delivered us to the best version of wow. amazing!

they’ve been doing this since TBC classic, I got a ban from killing undead mages that were farming primals, turns out it was a name violation because my name was yonkers, got a week long ban and couldnt reverse it because the “COMMUNITY” felt that my name was offense.

I mean, it’s technically a community of one.

That’s a notorious forum troll, wouldn’t take their word on anything lol. (Refering to the Gnome body type 2).

I mean this is why I report anyone who advertises a gdkp, the random reports work and if enough people hate gdkps enough the bots will start to get banned
