Boosts in TBC Classic A Disgrace

I’m sorry I don’t know if theses threads are serious or not.

If you play Classic, such as me, who pretty much played a lot of Classic with the anticipation of TBC. So I get the benefit of having very good gear to cruise through leveling, Some old Classic rep and professions that can help in Outland, of course Gold.

Who cares about the 1 account boost you can buy. I want more people, who didn’t want to play Classic join TBC. They get no real benefit of insta 58.

I just watched and the only bad is the no-lifer willing to have say many, many accounts and use those toons and profession alts since currently they do not have to be max to learn spellcloth cooldowns, xmutes, etc.

There’s people who are going to join back to play TBC and want to skip the boring leveling of Classic. Many want to play with their friends, some want to reroll.

This whining about the boost is just selfish. I’m sick of these types of players acting like only they matter

Yeah this ain’t creepy at all.

Not like TBC might be interesting to people who didn’t/missed Vanilla Classic or anything…

Tbc will have a more retail appeal. It’s only natural.

Well in your case, people who had "missed classic’, can still actually play classic now, and when tbc classic comes out. So your point makes zero sense, other than to justify and condone people actually not playing the game and just boosting to the top.

its not paid… its a literal 1 time boost for anyone who chooses to play TBC that comes with your account.

get over yourself

The only people this hurts is gold sellers and mage boosters, nether of which we should base game decisions around ( mage soon to be paladin ).

So no I don’t think a boost ( very limited) harms the game any more than the current system does.

Ps: waiting on an ad hominim about my classic progress or something

… coming from a mage this is hilarious.

You do realize that mage boosting ruined classic.
You do realize that RMT mage boosting ruined classic.

Players love classic and TBC but obviously don’t like the grind, and there is no amount of rhetoric “then go play retail” that will stop it.

Blizzard allowing a LV58 boost is awesome for the economy. Think about how many characters will be made and it won’t be gold in the hands of players, and RMT.

Agreed.

As someone who recoils in horror about the microtransactions in “retail”, this doesn’t bother me one bit.

Do we have to pay for the TBC expansion?
-No. It comes with your sub

Did the developers work long and hard on updating the code and making tweaks that are making a LOT of players VERY happy?
-Yes.

They sunk time and resources into making TBC Classic, yet we can transition into it from vanilla Classic for free. It doesn’t bother me one bit that they’ll make some $ from server copies and boosts.

there is no money from boosts though, only the copies… The boosts just are there on every account.

My point was this is needless gatekeeping, like to a disturbing degree (no, seriously, “infiltration”???). These aren’t new expansions, it’s remastered or whatever you want to call it and draws in people with fond memories or people who missed the original zeitgeist.

Trying to exclude as many people as possible under the veneer of “earning the right to play in Outland” or some other nonsense is ridiculous. And sad.

I never sold my services in-game to boost a single character, and have never been asked to do so. Also, comparing “IN-GAME” boosting, where players who want to be boosted still actually have to play the game, is A LOT different than just automatically getting to level 58. How many hours are still required for a player to pay in-game gold to a mage to boost? Still many. Also, I am not saying I condone it, but it is a part of the game and requires players to PLAY IT.

Uhh classic wow isn’t all about leveling. 90% of classic wow is end game because news flash that’s where a lot of players spend most of their time.
Oh I get it. I don’t play the way you do therefor I’m wrong.
Narrow minded at its best.

I’ll spell it out for you again, mage dungeon farming is only viable because of EXPLOITATION OF MOB PATHING. A free Lv.58 is a drop in the bucket of the millions of gold that mages introduced into the economies.

Blizz had called it an exploit but because of #NoChanges they didn’t touch it, when the SHOULD have.

Thus, you’re wrong, opinion invalid, get used to free Lv.58s cuz there is nothing you can do about it.

Well, it feels wack to switch characters every time I have to talk on forums, I often do, but mostly I don’t bother. Just like in your case, I won’t bother switching characters.

And whether I play Shadowlands or Classic, it is not your business and you shouldn’t be discriminating me for doing so. It doesn’t make you look any better and only shows how petty you are.

Meanwhile all the people like me who only wanted Classic to succeed so we could get BC are rejoicing.

No need to slog through the tedium of classic levelling, just doing the legacy content we actually wanted to do.

@OP Sick of this entitled attitude. For some people this is the difference between returning or not. TBC classic is not ‘your’ game, it is the community’s game and if enough support this feature, who cares?

Also please enlighten me as to how someone paying for a boost is any less immersive than you paying a gold seller to boost you while you are afk?
