Boosts in TBC Classic A Disgrace

Oh noes , instead of paying mages to level Alts it’s blizzard.

This is a good change , less power leveling sales is great

In game boost still takes time and effort, it isn’t just swipe your card and get 58 in a second… I mean comparing the ingame power leveling to boosting is just insane how different they are.

Yea those people are working hard standing on steps at the dungeon entrance and watching Netflix.

you can buy gold in retail and still not be better, but tell me more about the sources, or links your assumptions are based on.

Flag and move on, another delusional anti boost troll.

your words not mine but, this isn’t tbc. it is tbc classic.

they have to travel there at least lol. But everyone thinks it’s something that instantly happens, but it actually takes a long time for someone to Power level ingame, much faster than normal leveling but still isn’t instant.

I don’t think that anyone is seriously under the assumption that being boosted by a mage is instant or anywhere close to it. They’re being compared because of how equally brainless the activity is.

Like, yeah, I technically have to have the game open to be mage boosted. But I’m playing in the same way I’m playing a show with the Foo Fighters by drumming along on the security barrier or laying down a sick air guitar solo.

The argument is that people really aren’t earning the levels anyway if being boosted.

Sure you have to spend game time in game, but you aren’t out in the world.

Anti boosters argue that players should be out in the world and how boosts will ruin the old world.

You aren’t seeing the majority of people level anyway they are afk in a dungeon.

Everyone saying ‘OH ITS ONLY 1 PER ACCOUNT’ ETC ETC, I can’t believe you people side with this decision. It always starts off like this and then blizzard get comfortable and remove that limit and bam, we have character boosts in WOW CLASSIC. THE WHOLE POINT OF CLASSIC IS TO RETAIN WHAT ONCE WAS. I am so disgusted in blizzard, it feels like a stab in the back at this point. Why should I even bother leveling my warrior right now for tbc when I can just purchase a boost? absolutely dumb. The amount of people that are also stating ‘why should a boost ruin YOUR experience? play your OWN game, everyone should be allowed to do what they want’. I actually lost my brain cells. That’s when the game went down hill, when they started catering for EVERYONE. I honestly believe Blizzard should release a game and say , this is the game, this is the world, go explore it and have fun. Not, ‘Aww you’re struggling to level? is our game too grindy? aw i guess we’ll add a boost so you can play with your friends instantly!’ , So bad.

so so so bad.

It ain’t your game. It ain’t OUR game. It’s a Blizzard product. You are a customer. Nothing more. Anything else you imagine is purely in your mind.

Your opinion of what they “should” do is meaningless, unless you have an MBA specializing in the selling of MMO games in the MMO marketplace in 2020. Those are the only people Blizzard listens to.

No, it isn’t. You misunderstand why Blizzard is offering the product “TBC Classic”. That’s fine, as long as you realize that YOU can’t decide THEIR goals.

You are really dumb. They were given the option to partake in recruit a friend. Stop being dumb.

Dumb? Ms Vulpera Shaman, what level did the recruited friend start at? Was it level 1 or 58? Please, help a dumb person out and answer this for me.

Was the recruited friend able to skip the entire base game and enter in as level 58, or did they have increased xp while leveling through-out the base game? C’mon Ms Vulpera Shaman, please, PLEASE help a dumb person out and answer this for me!

No, the point isn’t to make Classic what it once was. If so, they’d retune everything, and give everything that “at patch feel”.

But fact is, few people actually want that time commitment. Blizzard is going to make things the way it can make the most money. And that means accessible.

Do you really think Classic would be as successful as it is today, if things were actually at patch? I mean, people folded like lawn chars 3 weeks into Naxx. Dungeon runs alone 15 years ago at patch were measured in hours, not minutes.

So really, this isn’t toward you per se, but the player base in general. Most who say, “this wasn’t Classic TBC” are hypocritical. They don’t actually WANT TBC for what it was. They want the TBC that’s best for them.

Why do people keep on bringing up the fearmongering crap as arguing against boost? Until that happens, just stay out of it, you have nothing but “what ifs” to bring to this discussion.

you seem to forget where retail is right now… leveling is basically irrelevant and will probably be removed sooner or later.

Something that has been a part of MMO’s since the beginning. The adventure of leveling with other people, doing dungeons, and preparing you for endgame as you learn your class. Now they want to remove that experience from tbc and while today it’s boosting, tomorrow it’s race change, then ingame shop. You’d be surprised how many people I group with in classic that don’t even know what they are doing (retail players).

This is blizzard poking the tiger and hoping it’s eaten enough of classic to Endure whats to come. I for one don’t support it and will never support anything that goes against how classic tbc was.

You are really not helping your case, you are right back to more fearmongering.

How about this? When that happens we will come back to the forums and have a discussion, until then its just a lot of speculation.

It is a fun show though. Pop a bag of corn and enjoy it.

Why wait until the everything goes to sh%t… It’s better to be preemptive in these situations and continue to voice our concerns. We can only look back at how wow degraded and see that now we might start seeing it in our classic versions of the game if will continue to ignore the changes.
