Boosts in TBC Classic A Disgrace

Depends on the toon.

For every 2 toons you leveled to 60 you could grant 60 levels for free.

So 3x the xp, a summon to your friends location or yours.

You would just both get all the classes to 60 before the 90 days.

Every 2 toons you leveled to 60 you would make a new toon you wanted, at level 1 run to the city stand there and be granted 59 levels to 60 in under a minute.

Well since you asked for help (reading this thread you need it VERY badly),

Boosts are happening, they’re being officially tested.

They’re not going anywhere.

No one is listening to your complaints. No one cares. No one gives a good god damn.

Get over it.

“Until everything goes to crap”

The anti boosters arguments are

IT ENABLES BOTTERS: We already have them
IT DAMAGHES THE ECONOMEY DUE TO BOTTERS: Already there
IT ENCOURAGES RMT: No evidence, but, already there

so what exactly are you thinking were gonna go to now? lol

yeah man, I do not agree with your opinion, TBC classic is whatever blizzard wants to do with it, I think the level boost is a great idea and I am looking forward to it.

My server begs to differ.

YAY, defeating the MMO feature and ignoring community building is the way to go! JUST LIKE RETAIL!

It’s kind of like doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

So, I don’t give a hoot if you get boosts or not. What I’d like is a server without all this garbage added in. But no, pro boosters are against that too, and for no good reason.

The only disgrace is the amount of mage boosts being sold to the community. This is happening because they refused to put in Dungeon Finder after P3/4 when everyone stopped doing dungeons. Your energy is better spent elsewhere. I would rather pay Blizzard than some mage who does God knows what with the gold.

Instead, let’s #bringbackdungeonfinder after P3 in TBC to keep dungeon groups alive and prevent need of boosts. Address the root cause here.

I’m pro boost, idc if you get a “Fresh” server. I just don’t see why blizzard should pay for that? Why should they cater to a fraction of a fraction? You’ll just cry the servers dead ion 6 months anyways

More speculation. Nice.
They catered to a “small fraction” when they reloaded Vanilla as Classic.
I’m thinking they’re glad they did.

What do you mean speculation. I can find threads NOW crying about dead servers but ok lol

You are specifically saying that a Fresh server will be dead within 6 months. One without a head start (boosts). You are speculating. It doesn’t exist yet so you have no criteria to base that on.
Eventually all servers will be dead. Maybe we should just stop now.

Yea you can’t compare mage boost with an actual boost. It takes time and I think people have this conception that ingame boosts instantly get you leveled, but that’s not the case.

I’m leveling this druid and I payed 4g to boost at sfk to see exactly how good it was and didn’t even get 1 level for it. So not sure how people keep comparing the two…

I just dont get why people think a fresh server will fix all their problems. sounds to me like they missed out, and want blizzard to just all of a sudden bring out new material for them and them alone. the nerves of some people!

Google the cost of gold. they assume all boosters buy gold to do this.

summed it up perfectly. This is nothing short of a disgrace.

Actually, this comment is disgraceful.

#1 NOT ALL MAGES BOOST. I have never sold any boost service to any player on my server. Stop thinking all or the majority of mages boost, because that is simply not true.

#2 PAYING IN-GAME GOLD IS NOT THE SAME AS PAYING IRL CURRENCY TO GAIN IN-GAME ADVANTAGES

#3 MAGE BOOSTS REQUIRE THE BOOSTED PLAYER TO STILL ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME

#4 MAGE BOOSTING DOES NOT INSTA-LEVEL YOU TO 58. The boosted player is still required to play the base game and climb the leveling ladder, being boosted or not.

MY TIP TO YOU: Try a comparison with actual logic next time when trying to justify these disgraceful boosts <3

Couldn’t agree more. Blizzard is so greedy for extra money they are hurting the integrity of what they built. If we wanted to play in a boosted environment, we’d play retail. Sad, disgraceful, and downright greedy.

Hot take for your first post.

Buying gold and get boosted by other players- sure, that’s something you’ll always have, but at least these people are PLAYING THE GAME. I understand microtransactions sell, have high margin, and Blizzard wants more money, but you are actually hurting yourselves by allowing people to skip a core portion of the game just to be done faster. If you preach that the community/player base is what drives your revenue and development during Blizzcon, read these comments and re-evaluate this microtransaction. This is just terrible PR in my opinion.

It’s simple math really, more people are going to play TBC because of the boost then people quit TBC because of the boost. So no, they are not hurting themselves.

I personally know 4 people that are planning to play TBC now because Blizzard is adding the boost. All of these people have played wow before and have leveled before. They are not skipping content they have never played. These are the type of players the boost is for.

Getting boosted by players isnt playing the game. Its paying others to play it for you

To be ok with a player boost and not a paid boost is hypocritical. Theyre one and the same no matter how much you try and church it up.
