Agreed. Boost has no place in TBC or Vanilla. If they recognize that it shouldn’t be in Vanilla, why is it in TBC? Totally counterintuitive.

Funny how 99% of people advocating for Character Boosts are people who spend 99% of their time on Retail. Let the Majority of the true Classic Players speak for ourselves without your infiltration because we all know you’ll just boost a character, level it to MAYBE 70, try a dungeon or two, and quit like you all did last time and crawl right back to Retail.

I’ve been leveling a new character for the past few days and the world is so alive, people doing quests, actively looking for groups, and chatting in world chat. Sure tbc is coming but these people could have waited for the boost, but they preferred to level because it is the right way to play classic. Even with tbc’s release leveling in the old zones was still required when tbc released and yet people did it. Not only did they do it, the population grew even more!

So you tell me is it right for us to move away from what made classic tbc great, for some convinces that weren’t around back then? How will this effect the world, how will it affect a new player who might not have the money or wants to experience leveling from 1? We are doing more harm to the game than helping those so called friends play with their other friends. I and while I do think boosts are pay2win, it’s even more destructive to the old world.

People are helping their friends just fine now and even though there are ingame boosts I’m currently having no problems finding groups. If we go down this rabbit hole then where does it end?

This has been brought up 100 times and been shut down each time. There is already nobody leveling in the old world. You do not need to level with other players. Most quests are designed for solo leveling anyway, with a group quest here and there.

But RAF can not be monetized can it? This is why the decision was made, and for no other reason.

RAF isn’t being implemented because its free and bots will absolutely take advantage of it, like they did in WoD. It was such a problem that they had to remove it for a while.

Classic is about the journey just as much as it is about the destination

Vanilla was about the journey and not the destination, however in TBC (and every expansion afterwards) it was about the destination, and the ‘journey’ was just something required to get there. Boosting is not vanilla, but it very much fits in with end game content in TBC and onwards.

Sadly Activision did us dirty as I knew they would. How long until game tokens are in TBC to combat “bots”? I’m 100% convinced this is just a stepping stone for what they got planned.

Boosts in TBC are OK. A thread opened by a mage that spent countless hours boosting other players to skip the content is the best hypocrisy you will read today.

Gotta love when people judge someone based upon the class they play. Like everyone who plays a Mage did so just so they could boost other players. While I know the concept is completely foreign to you, there are some of us who decided to play a Mage because it is a class and archetype that we enjoy and relate to. And I personally never even talented my Mage for AoE farming, let alone to exploit pathing and boost people.

I know this concept won’t fit with your over-generalization paradigms, but if we DO go down that particular road you are so fond of…

You character only shows as level 11. That means you haven’t even experienced most of what WoW Classic has to offer. So, no one should really take any of your opinions on the game seriously at all because you are just a newbie, low level character.
