Nah, I’m good. I’ll keep reporting that deplorable practice.
Disregarding the fact that you don’t have the proof to claim this, the point is that it’s not allowed the way it is on retail.
All one has to do is go to a boost site.
Yet it still happens.
Which means
ITS NOT THE TOKEN!!
Yeah, I mean I’m sure they exist. I never denied that.
Are you seeing lots of ads on wyrmrest accord? Because I’m seeing few or none except on a few very busy realms. Illidan, I believe it, because I’m seeing it on Tich. I only see occasional ads on Zul’jin.
I’d say that in general boosting is not out of control.
I don’t understand why people keep reporting things that aren’t against the rules and won’t result in any action. Are you trying to interfere with actual violators and keep them from getting investigated and punished? Are you trying to get your reports automatically sent into a trash file?
Because they don’t understand that it’s not against tos
Uh
First of all boosting is allowed lol. They literally changed it so cross realm boosting communities couldn’t happen anymore. But Guilds or just players themselves are allowed to boost as long as the advertiser is actually participating in the run itself, so reporting them is actually just a waste of time.
Also, this is what happens when the game is developed so that 99% of players aren’t capable of clearing the raid on mythic due to the difficulty. As well as pugging being actually impossible for it. Far too many players out there nowadays that can’t commit to a raiding schedule and have real life obligations, which means boosting is their only option if they want to do that content.
Not saying either way is right or wrong, but what’s not right is content being created that only 1% of your playerbase even stands a chance of completing, while leaving the other 99% left out. If there was actually other content outside of raiding and a new m+ season each patch, than whatever the difficulty is fine. But you can’t have minimal content, with that minimal content not even being an option for nearly all players
Snitch…kek
We want a clean and fair game. Too bad their isn’t any policing going on; then our “snitch” ways could pave a fair and more equal game.
did the longboy give it away? or the millions in gold?
I actually think that they know it’s not against tos but they think it ought to be. Therefore they feel morally justified in reporting lots of people who they think ought to be guilty in hopes that some are actioned by in error.
Let me rephrase it for you since I know having shortsighted arguments with generalized statements is somewhat your pedigree on here:
Yes, I know boosting exists on classic realms, even in the form of real money. However, we don’t know the extent in which it pervades the game. Anything you say about it is pure conjecture, and pointing out that boost sites exist is not proof that it’s a heavily-utilized service. So you can keep waving around the fact that real money is used for boosting on classic realms. Until you have those raw numbers that prove your point, everything you say is completely and totally your opinion, which you’re allowed to have. It doesn’t, however, make it absolute. Considering how much you like tossing the term “facts” around, I would expect you to have some facts to back up your statements.
Look no further than GDers who proclaim they report any and all boosting ads, simply because it’s a boost ad.
Nah, I’m good. I’ll keep reporting that deplorable practice.
It’s your prerogative if you want to waste your time. Like I said before, thankfully, Blizzard ignores those reports unless the perpetrators are breaking the ToS.

The point that matters is boosting exists on all three clients.
That means that boosting happens even without the token.
It’s no different than you making the absurd claim that everyone who buys tokens does so to boost.
Boosting is allowed if it’s done exclusively by a guild or group of friends and if the advertiser is part of the guild/friend group and participating in the run on the character advertising the run.
A lot of these advertisers are advertising for fake guilds or are pretending to represent Hall of Fame level guilds though. They’re ALWAYS level 1 characters. If they’re doing this, report them immediately; Blizzard cracks down on this surprisingly quickly.
That means that boosting happens even without the token.
I’m sure it does. Do you know how often it’s used?
It’s no different than you making the absurd claim that everyone who buys tokens does so to boost.
And let me go ahead and extend my argument to say that I think the token shouldn’t be in the game at all, if that wasn’t clear enough. I don’t really care if it’s used for boosting or if it’s used for something else. I think anything that allows you to spend real money to get in-game currency is bad game design and certainly shouldn’t be enabled. It’s the kind of thing you see in mobile games, not a premium AAA game with a subscription.
People who refuse to find a guild and only pug aren’t going to have as many opportunities.
Who told you this lie? Probably more importantly, why do you continue to spread this lie?
Just move to a low pop server like earthen ring. Bam boosting gone.

I think wellfare is an unjust system. I don’t go around reporting people on welfare though.
Just makes them hypocrites.
