This is pretty much my stance on the matter, and Blizz isnt about to suddenly crack down on bots and RMT because thats just lose lose for them, less subs.
I’d love to see the idea implemented that the one wow dev said in his tweets about just removing all RMT’d gold and naming the player who bought int he mail from Blizz. It would hurt GDKPs up front a few times but socially, it would quickly sort itself out. And with that, gold value should rise making it a win for all legit parties and legit GDKP participants.
Both are allowed. One is just disincentivized because you earn 1/10th experience. If you want you could still boost all the way up to level cap. It would just be more expensive and take more time.
Now how do you suggest we disincentive GDKPs that wouldn’t impact raiding as a whole hmm?
No one sits back and gets carried in a GDKP. This isn’t retail raid boost where you are told to die in a corner somewhere. You still have to do the encounter like everyone else.
Of course. It is to sell more of their boosts. That is also why RDF was taken out.
Most likely, granted it would be new people coming into the GDKP scene that would buy tokens so that they don’t have to go through a few weeks of not being able to buy anything in order to start getting gear. The people already doing GDKP are likely to bet the ones buying the tokens(from the player not from blizzard).

I don’t know about them being the same cause not everyone going into a Gdkp is fresh 70s some people just go in looking for that last piece they want or solo players who farm gold and get what they want. Out here saying it’ll be better for gdkp’s to be gone like people find so much joy in running old raids.
How long do you think it will take for gdkps to come to fresh servers? 1 month? 2? If you don’t think people will run gdkp Kara or za by week 3 I bet your wrong. min bids will just be lower like 100g. Yeah is won’t be great gph but it will be a way for the most hard core to get their gear and the ones who want to farm your gold to farm it from you.

Not sure where you play but you can certainly get “buyer” role in a raid where you are not expected to perform at all. It is pretty common for a fresh 70 in greens to be in high end content buying multiple items.
I didn’t say they were performing to the same level. I said you had to do the encounter. Meaning if you constantly mess up a mechanic that wipes the raid you are being removed and never invited again. For example, pulling the fire elementals on Illidan.
There is a difference between underperforming and being carried. Being carried is that you either do absolutely nothing (whether that be dying at the start of an encounter or sitting back so that you aren’t involved at all), and someone else making up the difference in your lack of DPS due to not having the gear or skill to do more DPS.
You generally don’t have buyers in the role of a healer, and you definitely do not have them in the role of a tank. Because their lack of performance would cause the raid to fail. This is why generally pure buyers are only DPS, because pure carry DPS can make up for their lack of it. Since they already deal more damage than they need to in order to complete and encounter.
TL:DR Being carried is as if the group was down a player. No player in a GDKP is a negative player.
