Boosting communities

Not everyone who does higher content sells carries.

Neither am I going to go read your post history to tell if you were being serious with your reply or not.

I still hate LFR. I still think it should be deleted. I hate LFR with a passion. The thread I started about it, just gave me more perspectives to have on it. I don’t care for selling carries. I just throw $20 at the game when I need gold than sit through the troubles of realm hopping getting gold from people.

TLDR: I still hate LFR and it should be deleted with its current form. My opinion is not in any support of to sell more carries. I couldn’t careless what people do with their gold and neither should other people.

But everyone who sells carries is doing high end content. It takes top gear to run those carries. And the person I was responding to brought up “If I choose to sell a carry for 10k gold”, which is not the going price.

So you want less raiding to happen and less content to keep people playing the game. How much more are you willing to pay out of your own pocket to support development of the most expensive content in the game when casuals are no longer paying for it?

Yeah, are you gonna get that Rio score up so you can buy your way into high keys, get that awesome gear, then what? You have no skill, because you haven’t actually played the game, you’ve just been paying others to play it for you.

I can see what people find so annoying with it (obviously), but I can also see where this is perfectly in line with the D&D type of world. There is always someone willing to sell their sword to a “lesser” adventurer. The premise of it fits the world, but the implementation of the service is quite spammy.

Whatever gets me more Mythic+ dungeons; because I like Mythic+ more than Raiding. Raiding is just a bonus that I can do easily and don’t find raiding to be hard to do at all.

Stand here, move there, kill this, move that… Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. What’s hard is getting the right loot drop and finding 19 other people who don’t suck at the game for Mythic on your realm without having to leave your realm.

Yeah, raiding is overrated. Mythic+ is where it’s at, for me. BfA M+ sucked though. Legion was the bomb.

An opinion based on ignorance isnt helpful.

We just had a realm merger, we may be able to get 20 decent people now.

Try getting into someone’s 10 or 15 group without any IO and then come back and tell me IO score doesn’t matter.

Boosting is banned primarily due to the fact that there is nothing to do with all the gold they rake in aside from sell it for real money. The problem, however, is that as long as there is a demand for this, there will always be a supply in some way shape or form.

Until I swap characters and see them pop up again.

Sad that last night I seen one of them asking for promoters to help them advertise. It’s just one after the other.

you have the tools available to you to handle it

selling runs for gold isn’t against the rules. nor is doing so in trade chat.

see them in LFG? report them. I do. but trade chat is for trade, not just trade of things you think are ok.

boosting is not banned

gallywix got banned for RMT - a clear violation of the rules
Huoken advertisers got suspended for using (what amounts to due to how they were using it) a bot to spam chat - a violation of the rules

but neither of them got banned for selling runs for gold

Blizzard employees have stated they sold carries for gold before.

It happens in classic too.

Not just happens, it dominates trade chat.

And you think it’s not a problem, yet Blizzard made changes to the XP off FH boosts that where happening early in BFA, so they certainly see there is some problem with it.

Sell your runs, but stop using damn boosting communities. Their practices are all dodgy and end up almost always leading to more issues than it is worth. Like RMT and bots, but less noticeable is the fact they have so much gold reserves that they end up dominating the AH.

Like last night someone asked by the dune scavenger pet jumped from 20K to 250K in a day. Because someone with too much money decided “You know what, let’s just buy everything and reset the market to a price I want”.

I tried one day the exact opposite, put stuff on the AH for a lower price to try and bring the market down, I than advertised in trade chat and what happened? I was met with players whispering abusive messages to me for trying to ruin their gold income.

What are the chances some of the people here who are 100% in complete support of these communities continuing are making money our of it? And not money for doing the dungeon run either, because that person who is advertising in chat, that is neither the people who run these communities nor the person who does the dungeon run.

You can’t speak for the entire boosted community lol. There are plenty of carried people trying to push for higher content just because you may not doesn’t mean others won’t.
